EDIT 2012: If you all remember my awful Halloween last year, well I guess history repeats itself. I will be posting details on the second deal gone wrong beginning on page 4. Don’t buy into the excuses and bs, I’m right, he’s wrong, that’s just how it is. You don’t buy the first mask made then see everyone receive one that were made after that one you bought and still not have your mask two months after purchasing, as well as get ignored and more…

I wish more people would come out and be open about their bad business with this guy.Maybe had I know so many people had a problem with him I wouldn’t have done business with him. So I blame you community. I got so many PM’s from several members (some who commented in the above thread, and some who did not) about people who had a terrible time with him, even one who said he gave good feedback because he eventually got what he wanted, despite having to go through hell.

He took my money, sent me a different mask than one that was pictured, then even went out of his way to remove the pictures from the thread he made to delete the evidence. That right there should tell you enough about his character. I was told he uses the “sick relatives” excuse often, and that’s exactly the excuse he gave me, before telling me to just email him because he gets those on his phone. Well he hasn’t replied to me in over a week.

I’m not ruining his reputation, he’s ruining it himself, but apparently he’s not smart enough to see that.

I’ve also had 100% POSITIVE feedback in here from every member I’ve bought from and sold to, including those I did business with through ebay. So it’s definitely HIM!

I hear you my friend. I wish that folks who had and noticed issues with another mask maker posted FB and/others would have come forward openly and publicly after my FB…defeats the purpose of the FB forums and comradery. as long as they get something ya know… good luck with this. there were some feed back/threads about previous issues with AM, not sure where they are or what happened. having 50 million posts per person makes it tough to find if bad feedback had been left at one point or not. that’s one part of this FB system that needs some restructuring IMO.

Shortly before I joined the net and got into indie mask collecting I stumbled on his site and got duped into paying $460 for one of his Tommy V1 masks. Even at that price I still had to chase him down through the # he listed on paypal and make several angry phone calls to him before he finished it up. It took way too long for him to come through with the mask especially when his site that I purchased it through didn’t mention ANY wait time and he was charging me way more than others. Did i mention the mask was $400 and the US shipping was $60? Needless to say I never did business with him again. It was a real kick in the teeth when he came out with the V2 for half what I paid and rendered my mask virtually worthless. For the record I still own and love the mask but there is no doubt in my mind that he took me for a MAJOR ride on it.

I hear you on this one. One minute, people are ready to form a lynch mob and go after the artist; however, as soon as the item is received, everything is hunky dory again and they’re showering them with praise, despite the hell they had to go through. Good luck getting everything resolved.

I know most complaints are the delay times and lack of communication he’s had, but what he’s shown me is just ridiculous:

Going back to the original thread to remove the images of the mask he was supposed to send is low within its self. Then ignoring emails for over a week, but having time to create a facebook page dedicated to his masks proves he was not too busy or dealing with a family crisis. Then top it off with him adding the original image of the mask I paid for to that facebook page with a pricetag just underneath it. How could ANYONE support him after just one of those things, let alone ALL?

First you don’t ship the mask you show, then delete the evidence, then re-add those photos to a different site with a “for sale” sign? WTF? All the while showing no communication and blatantly ignoring PM’s, emails, etc., even though you receive them on your phone :\

Exactly. Addressing the issue rather than trying to hide it is what counts. By not being honest and coming out to apologize and admit the truth just makes more people lose interest in doing business with you. People respect the truth, not lies.

It takes balls to try and screw someone over, but it takes more balls to be a real man and admit you did wrong. It seems like something easy to do, but it really isn’t as you can see. People will just continue to dig themselves in bigger holes until there is no way out.

Something like this I would respect:

“Look, I tried to “f” you over and I’m sorry. I tried to take advantage of the situation and I didn’t think you’d notice, but you caught me red handed, fair and square. The excuses I’ve given are all lies. I have poor communication skills, but quite frankly, I just did not want to reply because I was too busy trying to delay and think of a solution because I STILL did not want to give you the right mask. I am clearly at fault and although I completely meant to do what I did, having seen the outcome, I promise not to do that sort of thing again. I have learned my lesson. I am truly sorry.”

I think that would open a lot more eyes, but sadly that’s not how most people are.

I knew this scammer is a piece of crap from having done other members dirty. I’m glad I never did business with him. It’s good Threat how you hit the nail on the head and hold this community accountable too. I’ll tell you what the even bigger problem is: there’s too much brownnosing and favoritism going on here as well as other forums that many members get blind to the BS :imp:

Thank you. When I made my original thread about the issue, I was calm and patient. But then I started receiving a lot of PM’s from different members, all who shared their bad experiences with him, I started to get upset. Some even said their complaint and/or feedback threads were deleted because “eventually” they got the situation worked out. But that doesn’t mean those members didn’t have to go through hell first, and does not prevent others, like myself, from going through it as well. One even said they simply left positive feedback despite having a raw deal. The well known and respected names in the mask community should be held at the same level, not higher. Because when some get a big enough following and/or know they cant be touched is when they start to slack off and do wrong. Hell, I even emailed him last night on fb. He signed in, but didn’t reply to that either.

Like I said, I posted a link and said something like “if you want to do business with Addison, you’ll go through hell first”.

I wish I would’ve screencapped it, but I went for five minutes to get some food, came back and it was deleted.

I provided feedback after I received a Revisioned H2. He stated he had masks left from an Orlando show, so I ordered it with the promise that it would arrive in time for Halloween. Well, it’s a good thing that I wasn’t counting on that mask for Halloween cuz I had to constantly harass him an I received different stories (“it’s ready” “it needs hairing” “I was out if town” “I’ll ship it tomorrow”, etc). I finally received it over 3 minutes later, just before Christmas. I was happy with the mask but the communication & BS excuses makes me reluctant to do business with him, again.

3 months later (damn iPhone autocorrect! Lol)

There should be a new rule if you had at least 3 bad transactions that is 100% there fault or ripped you off then you get banned from here. Somthing along the lines of that.

1 thing you guys need to keep in mind here are the lynch mobs.
you post 1 negative thing about someone that these people may like and you get attacked.
even if you are 100% correct it still becomes easier for people to just be quiet than deal with that noise.
it makes this place not as much fun when you are being ganged up on by people.
i remember i had a horrible dealing with Terry from CGP and posted it as Negative Feedback
(from my personal dealings) and everybody and their mother came out to lynch me!!!
but, in the end all those people saw what i was talking about when he took Jay Allan for a loop
and all the sudden they were against him…simply because there was a bandwagon to jump on.

dont blame us as a whole…you have a part in this as well.
do your homework. i for one have never dealt with Addison because of all the negative things i have
heard about him.

I had heard numerous bad things about addison.I was the one that called out addisons name in threats thread.Any artist who has scammed someone should be called out period.It will save other people their hard earned money.Hopefully no one else here will buy from him.

Wtf is wrong with people. I don’t know why artists, and other members do this kind of stuff. It’s just sad. Money is hard enough to come by, and for people to be doing this, it’s just wrong. I wouldn’t blame the community like you did, because it’s not our fault, but, if members know people who are shady, then yes, we should speak up. Hope you get this resolved.

Damn i really wish i read this thread about 6 hrs ago…lol i just bought one of his masks off ebay…at least ebay and paypal are on record…and im protected thru both…but this thread is still frightning to read right after a purchase

If you got it on ebay then it probably wasn’t directly from him but from a previous owner and you’ll be fine. got a link?
