I’m out of options. I’ve searched the far ends of the internet for the past month looking for alternate versions and cuts of Halloween movies. I’ve currently only got the H2 (1981) TV cut and the Halloween (2007) workprint. They’re nice, but there’s far more that exist.
If anyone has an alternate cut or version of any Halloween movie (Specifically Halloween 6, 7, or 8 workprints), please let me know. If nothing comes up I’ll have to buy the workprints from someone off of ioffer, and I will let everyone here know how it goes if I end up purchasing off of there.
I have the “blue” cut of halloween 6, its a fan cut, it has parts of the producers cut and parts of the theatrical version, for example it leaves out the michael rapes jamie part of the story, but has the theatrical ending ect.
That’s interesting, I didn’t know that existed! I have another fan cut that was released before the blu-ray of the producers cut came out where it has the producers cut ending and all clips of the p-cut are put in as the low quality VHS it was alongside dvd quality scenes from theatrical that are the same in p-cut.
I have the extended cut but the highest I ever found was a resolution just a tiny bit under 720p. Definitely watchable but wouldn’t necessarily consider it “HD”. Let me know if you want it.
I have the AMC Master Copy but it’s not in HD its just standard defition, as it would be when on TV. I don’t think it’s any different than the TV version released on any of the previous box sets or special editions of H2
There’s the original AMC cut of HII in SD with the orange colour grading, which includes Bud’s speech about drugs. The there’s the AMC remaster (done in the mid 2000’s), which is the version on the Shout releases that is in better quality, has corrected colour grading, and is framed differently in places. The downside is that it’s missing a couple of scenes, including the aforementioned drug speech by Bud.
