Looking at Anthony Michael Hall, I can totally see him being the original 1978 Tommy grown up. Frankly, I’m glad they didn’t go with Rudd. That would have been weird, tying it into H6 and all. I’m ok with this.
Now lets just hope theres a flashback sequence and they use a NAG for the shape’s mask but that probably wont happen, if they ever got the rights to use a kirk or a mask with kirk features they might go with a nightowl creep since its from justin mabry and hes with TOTS so that makes it “official”.
Thats probably what will end up happening, if there is a flashback sequence they will definitely use an h40 clean since those have already been made. The studio, producers, universal, etc know that a lot of the appeal of the halloween movies to the fans is the mask, thats their “cash cow” and main merchandising item that they can exploit in every new movie, thats the main event to the fans. While i think a damaged and burnt mask will be used in the present day, this time with tommy coming back they might actually say fuk*t and have a flashback scene where we see the clean mask, that way TOTS has two masks in one film they can exploit. My guess by the end of the film the shapes masks gets destroyed in halloween kills allowing the possibility of a new mask to merchandise and exploit in halloween ends.
Heard about this… I think casting Anthony Michael Hall as Tommy Doyle works very well. If I only knew AMH now and never saw him when he was young I would assume he’d look very similar to the way Brian Andrews did in Halloween 1978 as a Kid… Personally, I like it. …ANDY
