Yes, I know that… A few were saying that tots got the rights to make the mass produced version… I had heard from Justin that they did not get the rights to make it… Was just wondering if that changed

As far as ToTs having the rights, their wholesale price list they have the “Halloween Returns” mask listed with the wholesale price. Maybe things have changed but, it’s there in print.
How does one look at this “price list”
I wouldn’t read too much into people saying it looks exactly like the original mask. I’ve shown many masks to people in the years, people who work in movies and are horror buffs. What looks spot on to one person will not to someone else. I always remember a few years ago when someone posted a hero mask from one of the films but didn’t mention what it was, and people were criticising it for not being accurate enough.
If the mask resembles the original in anyway I’ll be happy. I don’t like angry look of the Resurrection mask, or the spiky hair on the H20. From the very blurry first picture of Nick that we saw, and the shadow pic he posted, things are looking good. I just think it’s impossible to hope it looks like the original, as it probably won’t. As someone said earlier, to create something original is easy, but to replicate something original is much, much harder.
All I know is with the hype of this movie, talk of John Carpenter, Jamie Lee Curtis, Nick Castle, a new KH mask on the horizon and a company like TOTs selling Maniacs and Psychos for £59, it’s a great time for us Halloween fans to be around in.
Agree with every point you made. I’m not looking for 100% dead on accuracy, I think looking for dead on accuracy will lead to hopes being let down, but any resemblance/attempt would be enough for me
what is accurate tho? Every mask is just a artists take on a certain scene or action by mike. I’m sure it will be doable. Hope is great. But I for sure can tell you how I don’t want it.

All I hope is that it resembles the mask from the original. Im not expecting it to really look like the hero mask but want it to actually make you think that it could be the same mask Michael has had for the past 40 years. Slighty discoloured or really dirty etc. I just dont want them to try and go for a new look…
I think I have gotten so used to Michael picking up another white face mask everytime he kills again. Would be so cool if they created a mask that made you believe “wow this is actually 40 years later, same characters, same universe…”. As we all know, Michael isnt really a fashion kind of guy nor do I think he actually gives a damn how he looks haha so would seem a little odd if everything is different because why would he purposely wear coveralls and another white mask again? Yes, the iconic Michael Myers look is the white mask and coveralls but from a story perspective, he only wore those because thats what came first. Killed the mechanic so took his clothes to get rid of hospital clothes, broke into a store and picked a mask. Seems to make more sense to me from a story side of things to make Michael wear the same stuff he wore 40 years prior. Also makes it more creepy! Hes wearing the same stuff he did 40 years ago, so where the hell has he been all this time then? Adds more to the mystery of Michael.
For the mask, I totally agree! Everyones take on the hero mask is different. But I do think its possible if they tried to pull it off. For example, NAG’S masks are not totally accurate in the sense of every inch of the mask isnt actually the same as the hero, but if you see a NAG 75k mask, you know youre looking at a mask based off the 1978 Halloween film. Even if they did use a NAG film (which obviously they wont) I could still see myself buying the fact that it is the same mask he killed in 40 years ago.

P.S. If they do go for the same look as the 1978 mask, Im sure they will add in loads of details like the stab mark in the neck and if they did do that they would almost certainly make it shown which would be one nostalgic head rush for me!
