I haven’t been part of the program for a l9ng time and decided I wanted to jump back in and purchase another mask. Any thoughts or opinions on the above?
If I had the money, I’d buy ‘em all! Very awesome!
Right on same here. But I am more so looking for some opinions on price and accuracy out of the 3. I get the H4 is more of the poster mask but.
In my assessment, the AHG mask delivers exceptional value for its price point, embodying a classic Michael Myers aesthetic that exudes an unsettling presence in various lighting environments. Whether intended for display as a collectible or for wear, it makes a striking impression—truly a remarkable piece within its category. Your choice will also hinge on budget considerations and body type; for those with a more slender frame, the AHG is particularly well-suited. Conversely, individuals with broader shoulders or a stockier build might find the H2 or poster mask to be more accommodating options.
I have had previous masks from AHG and one in which he made for me. He was in and out of the game for many years. It seems that a lot of people resort to selling on Ebay now. Hell I remember ordering a mask from MMP in @ circa 1998 I think it was run by a guy named Gary Phillips if my memory serves me correct. And I returned the mask due to poor quality and he never sent another one back.
I think we all had our fair share of poor experiences one way or another; hopefully whichever mask you go with, you’ll be happy with it and have a much better experience this time around.
Thank you. I have had some good experiences no doubt. I am just kind of trying to get back into the scene and now wanting again years later that perfect mask.
You’re welcome. I firmly believe the good people and positive experiences always outweigh the negative, however those rotten apples are just reminders to just always be safe especially in today’s world.
The first and second are truly great masks and 550 for that first one…damn…I wish I’d paid that for mine ![]()
You can it is still on Ebay. I see that JC hasn’t been on this forum for a while. AHG has always been a pleasure to work with in thr past.
Very tempting…yeah Mike was always a great guy to deal with.
The NAG mask looks good. He’s still the best in the hobby in terms of sculpts imo. I don’t get the love for KH masks. They aren’t nearly as screen accurate as other options and the guy is/was a real shit show.
The AHG mask has paint cracking on it otherwise I would have bought it. Not bad paint cracking but none the less.
AHG does that intentionally, regarding paint cracking. Just FYI, for future purchases.
I didn’t realize that. I had him do a mask for me mamy years ago and never realized that. That one was on sale on Ebay for $450.
Yep, he knows it’s not for everyone, but it definitely gives it an authentic look/touch to it, which is why he does it.
Should maybe have gone through with the purchase at $450…My mistake…
Thats weird, I’ve owned probably a dozen masks by Mike and not second hand, blanks, kirk conversions etc and never ever once had him do paint cracking or even mention it.
If he did though…I would have said no. The whole cracked paint look just gives douchebags the chance to sell you something that is on the way out " yeah this mask has cracked paint effect for an extra vintage look"… no in actual fact its the end of the line and will probably start distorting very soon. Just my two cents…
I would tend to agree with that more so than Mike does it purposely. That’d why this mask was offered at $450 from $550. Not sure I’d want a cracking paint mask. ![]()
Yeah next it will be “extra rotting effect like the aged hero” which equates to a shelf life of 6 months ![]()
