I preordered my H4’s back in January and have’nt gotten them yet. I preordered my H78 on June 25th and it shipped today. What gives???
I am guessing this is your first incounter with ToTS. Unfortunately those are brand new and hot items. Both the H78, and H4 are launching so I’m sure just about everyone on a budget, or whom have not yet purchased these versions of the mask will be getting one. Plus we’re coming in to the Halloween season. Last year I did the same with the H2018 mask. Ordered in April, it took about 6 months, but luckily got it on the first day of October. If anything, ask them politely for an update on your order, I have seen this work and they should oblige. Good luck though friend, keep us updated!
I ordered within minutes of the preorder page going live. Haven’t heard anything yet.
I just answered this in another thread. The H4 pre-orders were delayed due to the neck extension issue. Those early copies that Party City got, as well as some others, had the extensions mistakenly cut off by the factory. TOTS wants to be sure the copies that go out for their pre-orders include the neck extension. This is why there is a delay in those shipping out.
I have the early version without the neck extension I grabbed from Party City, as well as still having my pre-order with TOTS that I put in back on January 26th when those pre-orders went live. So we will be waiting on those a little longer due to the neck extension debacle. That’s what gives. 
You would think they would show the workers a reference photo and say, “Hey, see this extra flap, don’t cut it, it’s in the picture” 
Yeah you would think. Here’s my take on it though: When they are pulling these masks, there is usually a reference line as to where to cut the neck. For the simple reason that there are so many rolling out, they usually have a blueprint to follow so they can roll them off the line quickly.
The issue with the H4 however, is that the neck extension has a definitive line. Which of course is part of the look, but to the lesser informed workers, probably looked like the line they needed to cut the neck at when they were rolling off the assembly.
So when they saw that line, they probably assumed that it was the excess that needed cut off. I can honestly see and understand the mistake made with it, especially with workers who may not be so aware of that aspect of the H4 mask.
With that said, I am sure they got a talking to over it, and things will be better going forward.
Oh yeah, I fully understand. Very easy mistake to make. I imagine the neck extension doesn’t really have an extension, so they just trim the excess in a certain shape. Maybe? Idk how mask production like that would work. I would imagine Justin would sculpt it in.
Yeah it’s sculpted in, essentially just a sculpted look of the extension, not exactly an actual add-on of course. That’s why I think the factory workers just assumed it needed to be cut above that sculpted line.
With that said, it should definitely have been mentioned before hand that the line and subsequent inch or so below that line was to remain on the neck. So there was definitely some miscommunication there.
But at least it was caught before the actual pre-orders start shipping. Those of us who pre-ordered, at least me anyway, wanted that aspect of the mask, as it’s a part of the look of that mask.
I bought one from the Party City batch specifically to have as a backup for wearing to Halloween parties and what not. So it’s all good either way! 
You’re H78 shipped to you and you ordered it on June 25th? I ordered mine on June 7th and it still hasn’t been shipped yet, wtf

Something to keep in mind that I don’t think I’ve seen anyone mention is the Neck extension is only on the front of the mask. I’m sure for most folks this is perfectly fine, it looks perfect from the front. For folks that are crazy about accuracy? That faux neck extension will probably get cut off and replaced anyways.
Why did the original H4 mask have a extension?
The original extension was duct tape painted white if I’m correct. Am I ???
I can’t speak for others, but I certainly knew about it. It’s just a molded in look. I just would rather have it in tact instead of cut off. I have the early version that is cut, as well as my pre-order that should have it in tact, so either way it’s fine with me.
But this small detail is the reason for the delay on the pre-orders being shipped. That’s the only point I was trying to get across for those who didn’t understand why the pre-orders haven’t started shipping yet on this mask.
See, I told you since the pre-orders were shipping ahead of schedule, you would likely receive it before September. Now you can be at ease knowing it’s on the way!
Wish they would send the other crap.

Welp I guess I’m glad I pre-ordered my H4, They said I’ll get mine the first few days of September, I had no choice cause my Party City only Has H2 & H6 Masks as far as I know, No H4 or H5 or H1.
Not to be a debbie downer, but I have seen other sites that have the knife for pre-order, say that they don’t expect the Knife to arrive until September 30th. That doesn’t mean the pre-orders directly from TOTS will be that late, but it’s very possible since retailers seem to get their orders before private customer orders.
I am pretty sure Nightmare Toys lists it as not arriving until September 30th, and they were one of the first retailers to get the H78 mask in stock.
With that said, I hope I am wrong. I would like to get that sooner than later. We shall see.

Yeah I hear ya there. I’m fine until I get the shipping notice, and then UPS drives me nuts with their snail speeds. Yes, as long as we get them before Halloween is what matters the most.
