Like the title says. I have a habit of losing or just not saving old original non doctored rare photos and then coming across them again only to find an ai filter over them and the Originals become impossible to find. Is this concerning to anyone else or is it just me?

Some look good but I’ve unfollowed / unfriended people for doing the AI stuff. It’s pretty annoying in my opinion. More so if it’s nothing but continuous posts of AI enhanced photos

I think AI “enhancements” of photos are unreliable as often the AI will add details that weren’t really there in the first place, not a fan of them for the most part however I have seen some decent ones

Ai has really taken over even digital art work as well, to the point finding original stuff is hard
Id rather look at the original photos. Not so ai bullshit

I’m not worried about it, but you are correct and it’s just a fact. All these AI restorations are making these pictures look shittier. People do it and then they circulate and then finishing artists keep adding random incorrect details that look awful.
I’m using AI for two years now and so far it hasn’t destroyed anything, tbh.
