This is the first time I’ve seen this mask online, and I’ve never seen it in a store. I’ve been debating on getting a Cinema Secrets and going to one of the talented folks on this board for a re-paint, but many of the 2002 masks in good shape are pretty pricey. The sculpt appears to be pretty close to, if not the same on the old Cinema Secrets Deluxe H8 mask out there. Obviously the hair is terrible, and the paint job is very different. I’m curious if anyone has this, and what it’s like in person. Looks like maybe they were going for the classic Myers look without changing up their mask too much. It’s currently available on Amazon.com. http://www.amazon.com/Cinema-Secrets-Michael-Myers-White/dp/B002QCEWPO
hmmm Something a bit strange. It almost looks like 2 different masks when comparing to the other pics, the seller posted. Also, the hair looks like it is coming off. This is probably a conversion of the H8. I have an outstanding copy of the original H8.
Wow, Rob… you definitely landed one of the best copies I’ve ever seen.
And yes… the other shots on Amazon look pretty poor:
It looks to be very thin. That first picture I posted above seems to show the great looking sculpt of the classic, but the rest of it is trash. It’s only $50… and I’m wondering how good one of the artists here could make it look, or if it’s worth rolling the dice on.
Validus…those last 2 pics you posted are of the economy CS H8 and Im fairly sure the pic from the amazon seller in your first post is also the economy. The econ has light brown mad scientist hair and no weathering. I’ve never paid more than $20 for one of these, they are just ugh lol but I love H8 and thus needed it for the collection. $50 is very high in my opinion…
The photo is photoshoped, thats why the hair looks odd along the edges, they tried cutting out the original background very roughly and then used some white fading on the image to maybe try to soften n hide the edits.
Did you notice the sellers name? Cinema Secrets Retailer. I couldnt get any info on him from my phone, was intrigued by that name.
The CS masks being sold on Amazon are the 2010 re-issues of the 2002 CS mask. From what we know about them, they are purportedly the same sculpt as the 2002 Deluxe LM103, but they are nowhere near as nicely done as they originally were and they come out of the box needing quite a bit of TLC.
(That second pic you posted in your original post is of a 2002 Deluxe LM103 I sold on eBay a while back)
There is a thread where an older member from here (who is now banned) showed one of the 2010s he re-painted to look more like the 2002 versions and it looked pretty good, however the pics in that thread are no longer available - https://forum.michael-myers.net/t/updated-2010-cinema-secrets-h8-overhaul-done-pics/37857/1 From what I remember when I saw them it was a pretty good improvement.
However from what you would spend to buy one as well as for a re-paint/re-hair you could probably eventually find one on eBay cheaper. They show up there in waves it seems.
That makes sense. Thanks for the info. I’m not sure how I’ve missed this mask over the years… I’ve never seen one online or in any store. I’m also a huge fan of the H8 mask, so I figured it may be a good chance to get a good looking sculpt (at least in the first picture I posted above it looks good… the worn shots look like beaver crap) and then get it painted to my liking.
I haven’t been able to find this mask anywhere else online, as far as getting a better price goes. As far as the seller goes, it’s from Cinema Secrets Retail, which has an address in California. According to Amazon they’ve got almost nothing but good reviews over the last 12 months. The same retail location is listed on the Cinema Secrets website.

Super. That’s great information. The sculpt looked really good, though it seems like it’s thinner, and doesn’t wear as well. I’ve seen the 2002’s go for $75 online, and I’ve seen them go for $200. Depends on the copy. It seems like there are some really good ones out there, and some really bad looking ones. In fact, there’s one on eBay right now:
And there’s another one that’s currently going for $150. I like how the good copies look, but I’ve seen some redone CS H8 masks that look incredible. So I’d probably want a re-paint anyway.
Tommy (Myers04) just redid my CS Standard H8 and looks AMAZING now!
If you’re looking to have A CS H8 redone, I’d suggest sending him a PM. He does amazing work.
Awesome, Curse! Would you mind sending or posting a picture of that? I’d love to see what can be done with one of these. That’s exactly what I’ve been wondering about.
Do you have any pics of your CS H8 redone?
Would love to see them. I own a CS H8 1 of 1000 & plan to let it overhaul.
But not sure who’s the perfect man for that job.
The pics on Amazon are not the Eco mask, they are of the Deluxe re-release. They are from the deluxe mould but finished poorly making them look like eco masks. Eco masks had the fur hair
Wow. That looks great, Tommy. Most masks do look better in person… so that’s very exciting.
I haven’t seen the mask available anywhere besides the seller on Amazon as of yet. But it looks like it has great potential.
Do you guys have any worn shots of it? Judging by some of the pictures I posted, it looks to lose it’s shape when on. Perhaps because of how thin it is?
The CS masks run a little large, but not nearly as large as the Don Post 2006 Classic. The latex is fairly soft which is why the mask tends to warp a little bit when worn. I’d say it’s a medium/thin pull.
If you buy it off Amazon and then have Tommy re-paint/re-hair it, you’ll have a perfect, screen accurate H8 mask.
