Authentic movie posters

Hi everyone! I recently acquired 3 orginal 1 sheet posters from Halloween 4 5 and 6 at a convention. Now I believe the seller to be authentic cause he had some posters labeled as repros. I was just curious if anyone could help in further authenticating them.

The certainly look legit from that picture… And either way, they look to be great quality and in excellent condition!! Awesome score!!

Are they 2 sided? I just ask because years ago I worked at a movie theater, and most of the original posters we recieved were 2 sided, with one side a bit lighter than the other.

The only double sided is the part 6 poster. I don’t believe h4 or h5 had a double sided. They’re in pretty good shape minus some edge wear. Trying to decide how to display them

Does episode 4 & 5 have a NSS number (National Screen Service) on the bottom edges?

Like so? If 4 & 5 have the NSS number then they are legit. 6 won’t have one since there is no border.

The other thing to look at is the size. Original movie posters are usually 27" x 41" or 27" x 40", depending on what year they were made. Most new ones are all 27" x 40". Not really sure when the switch happened from 41" to 40". If part 6 is double sided, it is probably an original. The double sided, no white border thing started happening after the 1980s.

They are all 27×40 or 41. Theres a serial number on my h4 and nothing on the h5, but I cant find any images of an h5 with serial number

I did a search as well, and I can’t find an H5 poster with an NSS number either, so maybe between 1988 and 1989 they started to make a switch. It is probably an original. All the ebayers selling it as an original 1 sheet don’t have numbers either. I think all 3 of your posters are original. Congrats! If this isn’t too nosy, could you tell us how much you paid for all 3?

Not as much as you would think. Let’s just say I was able to talk the dealer down a bit lol

Great job!
