wipe it out with a damp cloth (not wet just damp) then wipe it completely dry with a dry cloth.
then wipe the inside of it with baking soda (it absorbs moisture and oders) it works much better than regular talc powder.
that should neutralize the oder problem not to mention clean and preserve the mask.
One of my masks I got recently is tainted horrible with the smell of cig smoke, anyone ever dealt with this type of problem before? Should I try the baking soda deal on it?
This happened to me on a mask I bought from someone, the advice I got worked. I put the mask on a stand outside on a nice day with an incense burning near by. Did it a few times and after that the filthy cig smell was gone and all the was left was a faint smell of some nice nag champa incense.
I bought a mask that smelled of cigar smoke once and I baby powdered it.I also put baby powder lightly in my hands and run it through the hair.Just dont use to much.It helped a ton.The cig and cigar smoke really clings to the hair fiber.Good luck
_I once read three tips that prevent a mask from stinking on the inside. 1) No Eating of Shit Sandwiches before you wear it. 2) Brush your teeth and use Listerine if necessary. 3) Buy a Glad plug in and use for a stand. j/k
On a Serious note
Id say damp cloth and clean it out, then let it air out and a cool dry area of your house. Then powder it._
