Hi Guys New to the Forum and looking at starting my mask collection off, I want a very accurate H1 mask any help would be much appreciated, sorry if there is another thread for this just finding my feet on here.
No problem, welcome! In my opinion, when it comes to the most accurate H1 masks, I would say your best options (in no particular order) are the NAG 75K Castle, the NAG 98 Proto, or the Nightowl Shat converted to an H1.
it’s almost a loaded question because everyone seems to see that mask differently. And one person will look at a mask and say, “that looks exactly like the movie!” and someone else will look at the same mask and say, “no it doesn’t.”
It’s a pretty weird mask in that regard. Everyone really seems to see it a bit differently. Or seems to have one particular scene or moment burned into their mind as ‘The’ moment, ‘The’ definitive look.
Very well said. What I like to do is take a picture of a replica, and a picture of the actual H1 mask from the movie, then use one of those photo layering apps to put each picture on top of eachother so you line everything up. That’s really how I determined the most accurate, from what I can tell based on doing this, are the NAG 75K Castle, NAG 98 Proto, and Nightowl Shat.
I think a lot of people believe the NightOwl Creep/Shat looks better worn. I personally love it on display, but when worn this thing really shines. A perfect example is the infamous photo Simon Edwards took. It is so hero-like it is being printed by major companies like Fright-Rags and others. At least FR gives him credit for his shot though! Most believe the 98 proto and Castle look better displayed but it really is all in the eye of the beholder
Yeah. I’ve seen 75k look better displayed and then at times better worn. It may be due to stuffing or persons head. I think warlock looks better displayed as well as cgi fear
Agree with you on the CGP Warlock! Surprisingly for such a wide-looking mask it is quite tiny and since it has a built in Warlock stretch, if your head stretches it further it looks a bit awkward
I also think your head shape plays a big role more than the mask (as long as the mask is one of the top notch ones we keep mention and suggest), guessing the right size helps a lot for the best worn looking I suppose…
