Hey guys, just wondering what is the absolute best H1 mask available to buy right now? I’ve been debating whether or not to buy a Fear mask from CGP, since those look pretty accurate to H1. But i was just curious if there are any better H1 masks out there i should be looking at.
Get a creep from Justin way better mask and bang for your buck than any cgp mask
Theres a lot of incredible masks out there but my personal fav is the 75K. (Right click to see full image)

I’d go with a 75k or Nightowl Shat!
Also, something to remember is that the Fear is based on a specific look, where the others mentioned don’t have the look as if they are. What I’m saying is that the CGP mask basically has only one look.
Yeah i get what you’re saying. I’ve watched a few youtube vids of the Creep mask and each one looks a little different but all look great. The Fear mask isn’t it supposed to be specifically for the scene when Michael comes out of the dark and stabs Laurie in the shoulder? I think thats what i heard.
I personally don’t like CGP’s business practices, but the key thing is to buy what YOU like. A NightOwl Creep from Justin Mabry is personally my preference, but I do think the 75K is more photogenic and the features generally pop more than the Creep.
Yeah i’m really starting to lean towards getting a Creep after watching some videos of it. Where do i go to buy a 75K?
You’d have to message Nik Dresios on Facebook.
How much does he usually charge?
It all depends on your budget.
I’ve seen several masks floating around that come pretty damn close to capturing the original hero (one or two could even be mistaken for it), but in most cases, these are hailed as ultimate gems and if the owners are willing to part with them, it’s gonna cost you more than you ever imagined you’d ever be asked to pay for a hunk of latex.
As far as the 75K, it’s a nice mask. Quality well above anything you’ll ever find at a store and usually 95% of everything on ebay. But, if you’re looking for a mask that can replicate everything done in H1, echoing the sentiments of another poster’s words to me when I once asked the very same question you’re asking now: A 75K can pull off certain scenes from H1 with proper positioning and damn-near surgical lighting, but it won’t aesthetically please on all frames. I own a 75K and I like it. It’s the best Myers mask I own to date. But, after hours of test shoots (both pics and video), my overall opinion of it is kinda double-edge. From certain angles (again, with proper lighting), it nearly nails it.
Good pics:
A long-time buddy of mine who is damn-near obsessed with Michael Myers saw these and told me anytime I ever want to get rid of this mask, he will pay me (let’s just say a LOT of money) for it.
Not so good pics:
I show these to the same guy and suddenly the conversation becomes: “Dude, you paid HOW MUCH for that!?!?”
Now, being fair; most (if not all) Michael Myers masks will fail to capture the true, authentic H1 feel if lit improperly because we see so little of the hero in the daylight of the original film. But, some masks stay truer to the form no matter what conditions they’re in. Even if lit poorly, you can still see the essence of The Shape in a select few. There are alternatives for those such as myself who refuse to fork over four digits for a rubber mask. Not sure where you are in the financial conversation, but if you’d be in the same boat as a lot of us, the piece that I was originally advised to get is one you’ve either heard a lot of, or will learn about. The NightOwl Shatner (aka NO Shat) converted by one of the fine artists here is a very popular piece at the moment. Of course, collectors are split right down the middle on which is better between it and the 75K. I’m not in a position to tell you I think the Shat is better, as I’ve only dealt with the 75K so far. But, I can tell you based on my personal experiences with the latter, I think you can do better if you’re hunting for serious H1 authenticity.
I’m currently on JC’s waiting list for a NO Shat conversion. When the day comes and it arrives and I’ve had time to play with it I’ll have a much better understanding of it and could offer a better opinion than just what I’ve seen in people’s pics.
I’m not sure what a new 75K will ultimately run you, as I bought mine second-hand, but a NO Shat will end up costing right around $400 when all is said and done, depending on which conversion artist you choose to work with.
Well said^^^ and I too am on JC list for a SHAT conversion
Whatever your eyes see that you really like. Buy that. Don’t buy on hype or just a name.
All comes down to how much money you are willing to spend… I’d say get a H78 Kirk and get it converted. To me the H78 is the best H1 look out there.
Guys I have several great masks but i still haven’t found my perfect 78 H1 replica. Anything close. Please help.
Nag 2k JC, DB2 JC or Nag7k Castle JC are the 3 best imo.
Don’t forget the NAG Nightmare Unlimited. It can hold it’s own against those above.
Check out the Gallery. It will help you to decide.
Well it depends on what you want…like is said every day…you want it to look like Captain Kirk with a white face or like the mask with Nick Castle wearing it. I chose the latter and got this…
Oh, yeah? The Spectre mask is a great looking mask also! Very nice? So many to choose from.
In my opinion, will be the H1SM, Mask that I’ll buoght soon from Rowland Kelly. This Mask, is a re-cast of the HMK, a Mask made by Bry Hoffman using a clay pressed original 75 Kirk in Mint condition. The HMK, was a disaster, for many problem with Bry himself, and the latex used for the Mask, but Rowland did a pretty god job with this re-cast, and if you want the screen accurate H1 1978 Mask, it will be this. The cost for a Blank is 150$, and if you want to re-hauled by Master of conversions JC ( James Carter) will be 260$ plus more. Unfortunatly, I don’t have the Mask yet, and there’s no conversion of this Mask, but if you can wait, You’ll not be disappointed
