Best place to purchase prop knife?

Im after a replica just like the one shown in the video below. I’m looking to purchase a H1 replica knife with lots of blood like in the video.

Can you great people tell me who makes the best props and does anyone know if I’ll be able to get something like that sent over here to the UK being a replica knife and all?

I think Dirtknap FX is is one of the main places to goto but I can’t seem to find a online store to see what he sells.

Thanks

Dirtknap used go have a website, but he shuttered it for some reason. You can still make orders through the owner’s, Tim Miller’s Facebook page.

Otherwise there’s…

PropShop, who makes a cool bloody version of the 78 knife. I’ve heard it’s pretty quality, but I’ve never bought it myself. It’s $100.

James Carter whk makes the most quality fake knives you’ll ever find, and the closest you’ll get to a vintage Lamson or vintage W.R. Case and sons cutco 102-12 (the knife used in the movie) you’ll ever get. The only problem is James has a waitlist a mile long so I wouldn’t order if you’re in a hurry. Not sure the price on these now. I asked a long time ago but habe since forgotten.

And Daveofthedead makes some quality wooden knives, I think he sells around $75? Don’t quote me on that, I can’t remember for certain.

You can also find really nice replicas on eBay for cheap that are virtually indistinguishable from a vintage chef knife.

if you go on facebook, look up horror express studios. he makes a really good knife for $58 shipped. I have one, and for the price, you can’t beat it.

Spirit surprisingly sells sick looking butcher knife props for only 10 bucks :open_mouth:

Thank you I have contacted him and will be placing an order as soon as he is less busy with the holiday season. His work looks great.

Cool! Let me know how it goes. I just saw a post on Facebook that he has some available right now. You may want to check it out.

Dirtknap has been focusing on making masks I think. But he was always kind of did small batches through the year.
