Best version of an original 78 hero mask

These are pretty dope. Who makes it :hushed:

Cheers bud and made by NAG ( nikolas art gallery ).

Second this, NAG ( nikolas art gallery ) is a true Legend, highly recommended.

Here’s some recent shots I took to demonstrate NAG 98 proto worn versatility in different scenarios. You can also achieve a natural stretch look with this mask by adding top heavy Nick style hair/padding inside (if you’re not a fan of the permanent stretch look). If I recall, the stock 98 runs small at around 23.5"- 24" but you can also get a larger 25" special pull if needed which allows for this greater flexibility. Depending on finish you can achieve both H1 and H2 looks.

First time taking worn shots but I think they turned out fairly well.

Great pictures the 98 can nail every look.

Here’s a 98 Proto Test Mold I recently got. Rowland Kelly converted it. I feel the 98 Proto is about the closest to the Hero in H1.

Totally agree with you. I also love the nightmare, ID and 75k.
I think we may have peaked with the masks mentioned tbf.

3DK needs to be added

I got to say there’s a ton of good masks shown on here but I’m definitely digging the ID mask! Sounds like it’s impossible to get one these days though unless it’s second hand and you want to spend a real pretty penny. I give zero shits on spending as much as $750 for a good accurate version of the 78 hero. Beyond that they’re just going to have to give me a raise at work :laughing: or I’m not spending it lol but I damn sure would if I had that kind of cash. 750 is even tilting the teeter totter a little for me but if it’s a damn good looking mask I would absolutely pull the trigger on a price like that.

I’m curious about a Kirk stretch or a 75K and have even scratched my head a little about a 98 proto but what I’m more curious about is how necessary a repaint is if you buy one from NAG? I’ve checked out some of his videos on Instagram and all the paint work on them look pretty decent to me. Talked with him as well and got some price quotes for a 98 proto and an ultimate nightmare and they were both around the same ballpark and I think there was one other I asked about that was in the same ballpark like within $50 of one another so I’m guessing a Kirk stretch would be close to that price range as well.

Post more shots of your ID!

you could technically say that the 98 proto mask is a 75 kirk (like an actual 75 kirk), so id say that mask is the best and most accurate. if I’m correct the 98 proto came from the kirk master and was used to make a new mold for the 98 proto mask, which is exactly how latex masks are made. for the original 75 kirk mask they would’ve used a master to make extra molds, so by that logic you could say that the 98 proto is really just a later released 75 kirk mask

Yes…the 98 is a beast.
