I’m curious since there’s a lot of collectors on here people’s thoughts on what the best most accurate version of the 1978 hero mask is from the original Halloween. Seen a lot of different stuff out there lately and I’m thinking about pulling the trigger on a 3DK from spookhouse props. It is my understanding from reading somewhere on this site that he somehow 3D copied an original 75 Kirk and the ones I’ve seen pictures of on Jimmy falco’s Facebook page are amazing! Spoke with him yesterday through Facebook about possibly pulling the trigger on a purchase. But I’m curious what people’s thoughts are on this mask as well as others out there that maybe are more accurate any good advice leading me to the most accurate. Pictures are appreciated as I would like to do some comparisons myself as well based off of several images from the original movie. I know Jimmy falco’s 3DK matches quite well to several photos I looked at some of which Nick Castle himself is holding the mask. Fixing to turn loose on the streets my nightowl Creep This Halloween and even made me some nice Myers coveralls with bullet holes and stitched in latex prosthetics to simulate the look of torn through flesh definitely wanting to add to my collection of masks though and have possibly an even more accurate version to try out this next year. Let me know. Thanks All
Versatile H1 masks imo are 75k old mold and castle mold, 98 proto and nightmare.
If its a worn look you want then its a no brainer…have you seen caleb crofts ID
I’ve spent many hours jealously starting at Jay’s ID photos. Hehehe.
I finally secured one of my own after 3 years of trying and then I had the best artist in the hobby finish it. Just like Jay did.
Lots of amazing artists and masks out there. I second the previous posters comment about the Proto or 75k if those aren’t in your budget there are tons of other artist out there absolutely killing it. Heres a pic of my personal copy of a sculpt i finish called the Conversion Kirk from House of Horror Productions. Hope you find what you’re looking for and happy collecting
Wow those are some damn nice looking masks
Tell you the truth I would love a list of more artists to check out as well. I now know about spook House props I know about Nikos Dressios aka NAG masks and of course James Carter. I also know about Justin Mabry and Nick Mulpagano who as I understand it mentored and taught Jimmy Falco. There may be one or two others that aren’t coming to me at the moment but I’m sure there’s many I don’t even know about.
That’s a nice mask! All of these look great!
Very nice that’s an impressive piece!
CalebCroft are these masks that you make? These are impressive look really nice! Definitely along the lines of what I’m looking for.
