For years I’ve been thinking about darkening the hair on my HSS maniacal H1 mask. The color on it is very light, and more H2 than anything else. I was planning on getting some midnight black Streak 'N Tips, as they used on the Hero, and misting the hair. My concern is accidentally misting the mask itself. Shy of re-hairing the mask, what do you guys do when using spray to darken the hair? Advice?
I asked a similar question here a couple weeks ago and was told to start by styling the hair like the Ben Tramer masks hair where its sticking out all over, then misting it with black streak n tips spray. Then, style the hair into what ever look you want and mist the top of the hair.
I’v used streak n tips on one of my older masks before, as long as you’re careful enough it should be fine, if you do get a bit on the face by accident quickly just wipe it off with a damp paper towel. if you’re really worried about it just take a paper towel and cover the section of the forehead under the section of the hair at a time. You can always grab some plastic wrap, wrap it around the head at the forehead-hair line then use some painter’s tape and have it go around the same foreheasd line over the wrap to secure it. Wait for it to dry, take it off then try to get around the ears and back of the head by getting some new wra and gong over the back of the ears and under the har lne at the neck. That could be an easy way with things you likely already have at home.
