Bob's glasses H1?

Hi guys, I’m looking to buy a pair of glasses just like the ones Bob wore in H1. Below is a list of what I think I have to look for. Just wondering if I am correct or totally wrong lol.

  1. I think they are large vintage aviator style glasses
  2. The frames are tortoise-shell color (Or maybe brown or black?)
  3. The lenses have a slight orange tint color (maybe yellow?)
  4. Has anyone managed to find a good replica pair

I think the squared ones look best out of those you posted, but honestly I don’t think they’re right either.

Yeah it’s hard to find the correct shape of frames. Here’s another I just found on Ebay.

The last ones you posted are as close as you will find, those are basically the ones I have. I’ve tried a couple different things to “tint” the lens… Unsuccessful so far.

Those do look pretty good, and for only $10 how could you not get them. I just snagged a pair myself actually. Thanks for doing all the work man :laughing: :wink:

There was a time when I wore aviator glasses…I always get a kick out of them, they’re very nerdy.

Personally, the shape always reminded me of Napoleon Dynamites glasses, but thicker.

I actually wore the original glasses !!! John Graham, had them with him at a Con I went to… and was cool enough to let me wear them in our picture together !! :wink:

That is awesome. Can you post a good close up pic of the glasses? And I had no idea that John still had the original glasses, I love to hear when people involved with the movie still have original props/items they had had back 1978. I would love to own John’s glasses lol

I didn’t actually take a closeup of the glasses unfortunately… I just have them on, in the pic of him and I. I agree though…pretty cool, that he still had them after all these years !! Believe me…I wanted to take them, and run like hell when he wasn’t looking !!! :laughing:
