Hi everyone, so i’ve been looking for an alternative to michaels boots in halloween (2018) as the arctiv8 earth black boots has been obsolete for some time now and i came across this boots design to be similar to JC halloween. I couldn’t find these boots to be on sale anywhere on the web so anybody knows where i can purchase these babies?
Not sure what I’m missing here, but I see little resemblance to the H40 boots.
By the way, I successfully converted a pair of Arctiv8 “Earth pro’s” in wheat to the accurate black:
Any black leather workboot will do, the thing that makes a cheap pair look accurate is the leather flap at the bottom of the boots tongue.
If you get some black vinyl or another material like fake leather, If you cut out a rectangle and fold it in half then sew it on at the lace above the steel toe
Yeah the arctiv8 boots are hard to find nowadays. You had to have been there when they started leaking pics of halloween 2018, during the summer of 2018 and just before halloween and a bit afterwards they were still available on amazon. Shortly afterwards is whe they started selling out and now theyre mostly gone. In 15-20 years these will be extremely hard to find. Imagine, h40 is not even a year old since it was released and the model of boots that were used are already hard to find, imagine in 20 years! When it comes to h78 its hard to find the actual coveralls, boots etc but that’s understandable since its a 40 year old movie!
Heard that the black model of this particular arctiv8 boots is obsolete on amazon, gonna be real hard to find them in the future.
I had these boots gifted to me by my parents after one of their friends gave them it. I took pics of em and the bottom of the boot says what brand they are. Idk how much they are tho.
Yep they are basically extinct, lucky I was able to one of the last two pair on amazon
I just ordered another pair of the Arctiv8 Earth Wheat’s that I’ll convert. You can’t beat $20. Plus the conversion is simple enough.
Rad dude, I still have to redye my arcs, bought them in earth wheat and the insoles suck big time.
Dude it’s me the guy from before whom asked you for the details of the dye you used to redye your arctiv8s, man it’s a hassle to redye using multiple layers of paint plus it’s my first time dying boots, what if I just paint it all black and just leave it at that, would it look convincing enough?
Only if they were display-only purposes I would say. However if you were to walk around in them, naturally the paint is going to come off especially on the sole. The thing about using the dye, is that it soaks into the sole material thus making it harder to just rub off. The leather uppers once properly dyed will remain black (give or take some fading, distressing and the like that happens naturally).
Ah shit, I was thinking about cosplaying em, welp there goes any hope of the paint staying put, time to get a pair of new boots or something…maybe but i’ll Just try to redye the boots and see how it goes from there.
Its not the best way to do it but it works, One Halloween when I was a 12 I made a 1974 leatherface costume.
I got brown leather cowboy boots at a thrift store, All I did was sand the boots real good with 150 or 200 grit sandpaper.
That helped the black spraypaint stick I made sure to scuff the leather real good so the paint had something to stick to.
It held up really well, it was flexing and didnt chip off trick or treating that night. 
The paint so stuck good that years later I wore them another Halloween I think a Scarecrow or something

Think I’m not gonna paint the bottom of my soles and that way the paint won’t ever chip and there, you can still cosplay as myers.
