I’ve once again returned with another random Jason mask. Its a FVJ mask that the ebay seller claims was bought 20 years ago. Does anyone know who made it?
Nice mask, probably custom off Etsy if I had to guess.
It’s fiberglass, and there’s no current sellers that makes this. The seller on ebay also had others using a similar blank so its doubt its etsy. Its possible tho
It’s very cool, even if you don’t know where it comes from.
It almost looks a bit self-made. You can see the cross hatches where some of the brown paint on it is, usually these mass produced masks are just smooth. It probably was a project someone put together, because not even the ones on Etsy have that texture
I’d match that with a cool F13 hood and some dark eye makeup, will look real sharp!
My best guess is it is made by 245 Trioxin Studios
Do you have a photo of one of their masks? I found a Jason X 245 Trioxin Studios mask for sale @ fiberglassmasks.com, but thats about it.
I waan’t able to find his website, I went through old Nightowl forums and prop collector websites to find info, anywhere where it can possibly lead to his business page. I bought a Jason X mask made in 2002 by him, through second-habd market, and he used fiberglass as well. There’s a chance your particular copy may be made by Fibberglass masks as well, probably one of the first FVJ masks, but I’m just guessing.
I found another FVJ mask made by 245 Trioxin Studios that was sold on eBay a long time ago.
I figured my mask was a super early fvj mask since the straps are so inaccurate. If i can get wayback machine working, maybe i can find some old photos
