you shooting on the XL1 or XL2?? I just got the HVX200 with P2 cards, so now im full HD
It’s an XL2. I have a Canon XL-H1S HD camera also but it is far too clean of a picture for this type film. The XL2 has a much better film look, so we are using that camera. I mostly use the Canon XL-H1S for documentary’s, and corporate events. HD is nice but for some things I like the XL-2 using 24p in cinema mode.
for sure! you can also shoot P2 non HD for a gritty look as well. I do that for capturing purposes, just because i have grown to hate tape…haha
Yeah I know, But I like the look of the XL 2 24p cinema setting much better for the look I wanted in this film. It just has something the XL-H1S doesn’t have. Of course for true HD I wouldn’t trade my XL-H1S for anything. Yeah it was a bit pricey but It’s a bad boy.

Those shots are so cool looking! I absolutely love that first picture you posted, has a great Halloween vibe to it. Also that clown shot with the little girl, still creepy and making me wanting to see this more and more.
