I was going to post as soon as I found this deal, but I wanted to wait until they arrived to prove 100% legitimacy (and after hearing some customers had some problems)
So, after deciding I wanted to appear as “screen-used” as possible, I knew that I needed to pick up a pair of Altama Olive Drab Jungle Boots. Everywhere I looked, businesses wanted $70 all the way to $150 bucks for a brand new pair. I was just about to drop $70 bucks when I found this “footwear clearance” on this tactical gear website.

These are the “Sierra Sole” models, which without a doubt are going to be the most comfortable for civilians (walking on pavement, floors, etc) and retain the screen-used look exactly. The model commonly mentioned on this board are the standard Vulcanized one, but the tread on those is solely (no pun intended) designed for swamps, mud, and other softer surfaces. Your feet will hate you walking around in those, granted you’re not in a swamp/jungle. There’s also the Ripple model, but yeah, same deal…
Of course, sizing is obviously limited in this clearance but you have to take this into consideration; military-spec boots are not sized like civilian shoes. For example, I typically wear 10-11 running shoes (regular, not wide) but my measured “boot size” was a 9. The boots I got were a 9 wide, and they fit like a glove! There’s even a bit of toe space going on, and I really can’t feel any slack in the width. Regardless, size up according to this chart below and remember, with wide shoes/boots you can always make up the space with socks, though you probably won’t have to.
