Camel hair on a Myers/different types/Which do you prefer?

From collecting masks I have seen many types of camel hair.

When a maker says they will be adding camel i’ve noticed that it will not always be the same type of camel I recieved last time.

How many types of camel are there? Is there a name for these different types?

What do you like and dislike about camel?

Very hard like whiskers. Not very stylable but looks great.

Very soft and stylable but tends to fallout if not handled carefully.

Very coarse but very soft. Looks almost like a fro.

Hard to style at first but when you play around more it gives off a vintage vibe

good post kaizu. several of my masks have camel hair. my maniac has real course camel hair and like you said doesnt style easily.
i got an h78 that has the finer camel and it is more managable but still likes to hols its original laid shape.
i would say my favorite is the medium course camel hair like in your 2nd pic.
on a different topic i think i prefer mohair over camel, however when outside you can end up with a very ‘wind blown’ look with mohair.
both have there pros and cons.

Yea mohair is easy to style and is indeed the popular choice, no doubt about it
Though I do not like the way some look curely/wavey.

The hard whisker type in the 1st pic imo would look great on an RZ mask.

I actually like camel hair. I like the second pic of camel hair. My Mint 75 has camel hair, and it’s the best hair I have ever had on a mask!!

I agree the 2nd pic is cool but it’s very delicate.lol
I hate the way strands of hair fall out and that once you style it, it won’t go back…Meaning you have to preplan on how it’s gonna look

Absolutely correct Kaizu!! The hair is very soft, but, comes out easily when combed. I won’t style it anymore. I’m just going to leave it. Luckily, it looks great as it is, and when I use it, it looks just as good
