can anyone clear this up for me?!

I’m wondering about the thorn tattoo (triangle with line next to it) on the wrist of Michael in h6? Or is it the shape? A nd what is to symbolize? I thought it meant samhain, then I read its the thorn cult. any help would be appreciated thanks
Ethan

I could be wrong, But I believe H6 explains about the tattoo and the whole meaning behind it.

That whole movie confused me lol I thought it was terriable

at the end of H6 the thorn symbol appears on loomis’s wrist, so he is then cursed
i have the thorn symbol tattooed on my wrist.

it started in H5
"Thurisaz Rune "

means
Giant, Luck, protection, masculine power
Also called Thyth, Thorn, Thurs

Old Norwegian-Thurs (“Giant”) causes anguish to women,
misfortune makes few men cheerful

Old Icelandic-Thurs (“Giant”) is torture of women
and cliff-dweller
and husband of a giantess
Saturn’s thegn.

Anglo-Saxon-The thorn is exceedingly sharp,
an evil thing for any knight to touch,
uncommonly severe on all who sit among them.

Yes, the thorn symbol first appeared on Michael’s wrist in Halloween 5, as well as on the wrist of the Man in Black who was introduced in the same film. If I am remembering correctly the TPTB behind part 5 did not have a concrete reason for thorn or Man in Black, just that they both shared the symbol on their wrists and the Man in Black breaks Michael out of jail at the end. Of course the general perception was that they were connected in some way but without explanation. Then for Halloween 6, Daniel Farrands wrote the script to finally give an explanation behind Michael’s madness, and the result was the Thorn Cult lead by Dr. Wynn at Smith Groves.

RUNE #3 THORN

Runes existed long before the Viking Age… They are symbols that represent the Universal Energies of Creation. Rune-THORN is a symbol for an energy, it is not a word. It is a primary abstraction that existed long before language. In the Viking days defense in battle was very important. That is why they used the Shield Circle and marched into battle in a V shaped wedge. Vikings rarely traveled in large armies. Most of the dragon
ships contained about 30 warriors or so. So defense was very important for they could ill afford to lose a man in battle.

Each ship carried a beserker or two. This was a fierce huge warrior who fought bare chested and alone. He was used to break the formations of the enemy by crashing headlong into them. It has been written that the beserkers were also shape-changers who could change into a bear or a wolf
before they charged.
The wonderful thing concerning the Runes is that they have an individual life, that the interpretation and meaning is within them and not within us, not in our arbitrary thinking (abstracting),So to me it was a right of birth that Michael had and manifested it on his body like a tattoo, its an unstoppable energy.

I just did it myself last night:D

Cool was fun wasn’t it, love drilling.
