Captain Kirk from the website Halloweenn-masks.com

Hello everyone,

I’d like to know if any community member has purchased a mask from this website? If so, do they have photos to share?

I found it curious that the description says “Cast from an Original 1975 Master”. Does anyone know if that’s true?

Thanks.

It’s true, the photo you see there is what ya get. Not much more to it as far as the mask goes. The mask was recently used and recast without permission, so I highly encourage buying from the original source here.

As far as the master it was cast from. It’s an authentic 1970s Kirk but it was made as a master copy to produce a few DPS ‘98 Kirk mask prototypes. The final product varied from the Proto, a few of which float around in the community today. For example, many of the NAG masks were made from one of the proto copies.

The master/blank copy is owned by another member here- Colby I’m blanking on his screen name here, but his Instagram is horror_fan_1984 and he recently wrote an inserting write up about the master used to create the mask you’re asking about.

He posted it! I didn’t write anything. I would encourage you to go to his Instagram and check it out, it’s really neat.

I’d love to see Rowland convert one of these kirks

So, is this mask in the photo (from Colby’s Instagram) the same mask used to create the version sold on the Halloween-Masks website?

Correct. Todd owned it first, and his Kirk’s originate from this.

Thank you very much for clarifying the details; I’ve always enjoyed learning about the origins of Kirks masks.

Another detail, you mentioned that this mask was recently recast. I read about this today on a Facebook grup. I assume it’s the same thing you’re referring to.
