What is the preferred cleaning method after wearing a mask? I really hate the idea of just powdering my mask after each use, to me it doesn’t seem like enough to prevent an skin oils from actually damaging the mask over time. Maybe it’s just my OCD cleaning habits, but I just want something that will absorb the oils and clean the mask. I was thinking maybe using disinfectant wipes to do this, what are your opinions on this?
I wouldn’t use disinfectant wipes because I think they have alcohol in them and that will dry out the latex. Maybe wipe out the inside with windex or just some water before powder.
I wouldn’t use anything with chemicals in it I just use baby wipes and then lightly powder the inside with cornstarch baby powder just let it dry before putting the powder

That’s what I do also.
I wear army do rag bandanas on the top of my head, and a light army cloth I cut out that goes around my head. I didn’t like the smell that any of the disinfects I used had on my masks.
Is there anything that can be applied to prevent skin oils from making full contact with the latex? My mask fits perfect, but when I wear a light ski mask under it, it’s way to constricting.
Wear a bacalava, a thin one like from u.s cavalry, blackhawk, or any tactical store in your city.
I wear them for bail enforcement and they’re comfortable.
Never use alcohol…NEVER
It will crack the paint.
Use cornstarch if you’re a costume guy. Babypowder is harmful to the lungs.
Powder lightly, too much will absorb the moisture in the latex in time.
Mix a little drop of dishwashing liquid with warm water. Then use a cotton wash cloth to wipe out the inside of the mask. It cleans latex well, smells good and doesn’t harm the latex one bit.
