costume help for Halloween night

Hello I am new here and have no idea where to post this, I’ve also searched my specific problem but there seems to be no thread made about it so it’s why I’ve made this :stuck_out_tongue: anyways I am a below-average height guy with scoliosis, my “hump” isn’t really noticeable in the dark and if I’m wearing some tight clothes to give me form, I plan to wear a lot of t-shirts before suiting up in the coveralls which will be Red Kap Twill, I’m also using the TOTS Elrod Mask but I’m going to weather it down a bit to get rid of that annoying pristine white look to it. the boots make me look average height when I wear them and considering that the average height in my town is 5’5 (I think) I might blend in well… I feel I should note that I have a slim and thin build and I’m not exactly bulky either. I just wanna know guys if I’m doing it right or if I should just hang up the towel.

I say go for it ! One year I bought 3-4 pair of insoles and put them in my boots to give me some extra height. I was Jason that year. It worked well. I did have to loosen the shoestrings just a bit though.
As far as your build…Nick Castle was pretty thin back in '78. I don’t think that’s a problem at all.
And as far as your “hump” goes, who cares what people think.
Do what makes you happy, man!

Thank you for the encouraging words however I have one question. if say I was going for an H1 look should the mask still be weathered or do I keep it clean? Honestly there are some scenes where the mask looks clean and then there’s a different mask that looks dirty.

I like a “middle of the road” weathering, myself. I don’t like a real clean look but I don’t really like a real dirty/grungy look either. But that’s just me. You could start with some light weathering and see how you like it. You can always dirty it up more if you’re not satisfied.

Agreed 100% :drinkers:

This sounds about right to me as well, however in my mind’s eye, I picture the H1 mask as being clean and stark white with no weathering. Very ghostly, letting the amazing lighting do the work

Awesome I feel the same way towards this particular mask, I like a clean Myers mask but I don’t like it TOO clean where the lines aren’t clearly defined. I’m definitely weathering the coveralls but lightly since it wasn’t that dirty. What came towards me to be Michael for Halloween is that I pretty much scare people (friends, family) a lot because they never notice me in the background or I can be behind them (they dont hear me) and they get scared. I’ve always been called creepy because of this :stuck_out_tongue: so I’m gonna embrace it by dressing like the Shape for Halloween night lmao.

You’ll make a perfect Michael then

I think the funnier part is that I don’t attempt to scare anyone it’s just their lack of attention that gives them a heart attack lmao. it’s easy for me to mimic Castle’s near-robot like movement because the type of surgery I had to correct my spinal issue actually restricted the level of which I can move my back. I tried Jason but that just did not work out but I’m really hoping I can be a good Myers instead.

I would definitely go for it! You do you and the hell what other people think, as long as you are happy with it!! Also I would be super interested to see what you did to the Elrod mask. I have one of my own and also did not enjoy the shiny look.

I’m actually planning on updating this with pictures once I have acquired everything but I don’t know how this site feels about bumping “old threads”

I don’t believe there would be a problem but if you are unsure just make a new worn shot thread. They are all over the place and I am sure most people can agree we enjoy seeing them!

Have you ever heard of “Jeff the killer”? I didn’t know who this was until this past Halloween when my teenager wanted to dress as him. Pretty creepy…but I had to show him who was boss!

lol that’s how I imagine a Jeff vs Michael would go down… Mk Michael just ends it with no effort lmao

That’s awesome! I definitely see it playing out like this. I think Jeff is a Creepy pasta but I am a little unsure, I have herd the name used around before but never actually looked into it.

Jeff is a creepypasta, that’s how I know about him from reading in Middle School. I always thought before that Michael was more scary.

I was always a little spooked by SlenderMan but I think its because of his unnatural size and long arms and legs.

Yeah, that whole Slenderman thing is pretty creepy.

Very creepy, can’t wait to see the film!

Dunno about the film guys but thanks for everything and not making it awkward. It’s hard for me to actually be a character.
