I know this is probably one of the most asked about topics (other than masks ). I got my first ever mask last Thursday (24th June), it was a H30 7 v.2. I love that mask, with it being one of my favourites but I was wondering which would you consider to be the best but cheap ( ) coveralls to get.
I just want something to use to put together a display. I found these navys ones which I thought looked good. It wasnât until I checked the site again about 5 minutes ago when I realised they were too shiny I honestly donât care about colour as long as Iâm âpushedâ in the right direction!
Thanks in advance
EDIT: What would your opinion be on these? In a video about Michaelâs costume the man said in H20 charcoal Red Kaps were used
WOW I LITERALLY WAS JUST GOING TO POST A THREAD ABOUT THE COVERALLS
THE BEST COVERALLS TO GET OBVIOUSLY ARE BIG MACS. THOSE WERE THE COVERALLS USED IN HALLOWEEN 1. BEST PLACE TO GET SOME ARE EBAY. I GOT MY PAIR FOR 12.00$ BRAND NEW, COLOR IS CHARCOAL. THEY CHANGE COLOR IN EVERY TYPE OF LIGHTING AS THE COVERALLS IN THE MOVIE DO. OR 2ND BEST RED KAP TWILL BACK SAME COLOR WORK WELL TOO. http://www.automotiveworkwear.com/RedKap/CT10/work_coveralls.html
MILLIONS OF PEOPLE DEBATE ABOUT WHAT COLOR THEY ARE BUT IN MY EYES AND MANY THE COLOR IS A CHARCOAL.
IN THE HD AND BLU-RAY VERSIONS OF HALLOWEEN THE COVERALLS IN DAYLIGHT ALONG WITH THE NIGHT SCENE ARE CLEARLYGRAYISH BLUE.
awesome,i was just about to buy a pair of red kaps but now i just found out about the big macs which are much better, thanks for the link now i can get a pair to match my first myers mask which i only bought about 2 months ago now
Yeah, great timing for a new COVERALLS thread to pop up.
I was going to start one too, because I just won these Vintage BIG MACS on Ebay this week.
I got them for $24.99.
They arenât the exact H1 Big Macs, but I think they are VERY, VERY CLOSE!
âEspecially, the material, cuts on the cuffs.
I think the color is close, but probably needs to be a little darker,
I wonât know for sure until they get here in the mail and I can look at them in front of me.
I like that it has natural worn and weathered spots, but it has some paint stains I need to get rid of.
Jim, I remember when you won yours. Did you end up dying them?
Can anyone please tell me what brand and color of dye to get to match the Schoolyard scene coveralls color?
I STARTED A THREAD AWHILE BACK ABOUT THE COLORS AND I GOT A MILLION DIFFERENT VIEWS UPON HOW âTHEY ARE GREEN NO QUESTION ASKEDâ BUT TO ME ITâS YOUR PERSONAL PREFERENCE IâM GOING BY THESE HD BLU-RAY SCREEN CAPS DOESNT GET ANY CLEARER OR ACCURATE THAN THAT.
THE MACS YOU WON I THINK THEY LOOK PRETTY SWEET SHOULD WORK NICELY WITH SHOTS
AS FOR MINE, I NEVER ENDED UP DYING THEM BECAUSE I DIDNT WANNA GO THROUGH THE HASTLE FOR ONE SCENE OF DEBATE WHERE THEY ACTUALLY PROLLY WERE DARK GREY BLUE.
THEY LOOK GREAT THE WAY THEY ARE. WHICH IS A DARK NAVY GRAY WHICH IS WHAT I WANT AND WHAT I SEE THROUGHOUT THE WHOLE MOVIE.
I just purchased a pair of Wear Guard Heavy Duty Coveralls #316 from ARAMARK in Charcoal Grey. I was NOT disappointed! No dying necessary and they DO have the back pleats. With shipping, they were about $52.
I TALKED WITH MR WARLOCK @ MONSTER MANIA IN AUGUST ABOUT THE COVERALLS SINCE I WAS IN MY BIG MACS NEXT TO HIM AND WE GOT TALKING, HIS WORDS WERE THE COVERALLS HE BOUGHT FOR H2 WERE SPRUCE GREEN, THE ONES HE KNEW ABOUT THE H1âS WERE A DARK GREY NAVY COLOR. BOTH PAIRS H1 & H2 WERE BOUGHT @ PENNYâS AND BOOTS BOUGHT @ SEARS. FROM THE MAN HIMSELF.
Hey there everyoneâŚ
Ok, so Iâm working on my first Halloween 1 michael myers custom and I read what coveralls people say to use âRed Cap, Big Macsâ can only find the Red Caps one; but what color would be best for this⌠Also I have been everywhere and so far the only thing I can find are http://www.automotiveworkwear.com/mm5/merchant.mvc?Screen=PROD&Store_Code=AW&Product_Code=CT10
they do not have the elastic around the waist, and the right pocket doesnât have the flap, and I can get these in Spruce, Charcoal, or a Navy BlueâŚ
The Red Kaps at Automotive Workwear are going to be your best bet if you want to stand out from the crowd and look authentic. For H1 get Spruce Green, and depending on how in depth you want to go you can dye them. I hit them with a 50/50 Denim Blue and Pearl Gray dye for about a half an hour just to give it a different tint. More people will notice the color than will notice the elastic and the pocket flap. Just my $.02.
** If you REALLY want a flap and elastic you can always add them yourself. Just order the coveralls one or two sizes too big, or order a âLongâ if you wear âRegularâ and cut them off and use the extra fabric to make the flap, and simply sew in elastic around the waist. Easy to do.
