Does Darren Perks still sell blanks of the DP99 Shatner? I recently got a DP99 that was finished by MDF Effects back in 2020 & I absolutely love the sculpt, especially it’s size, which is nearly perfect for me. (The eBay listing that I got the mask from said it was about 24 inches around the brow, and had pictures to prove it, but it felt way smaller than that. Maybe it has to do with the thickness?)
As someone who also occasionally overhauls & finishes masks in his free time, I wanted to try my hand at finishing the DP99, but couldn’t find any original blanks (the only blanks I could find were the enlarged versions, which are both inconsistently sized and way too big to look good on me.)
Having also thoroughly researched the DP99 (and pretty much every other 75-derived sculpt), I pretty quickly came to the conclusion that Darren Perks was the guy to go to in regards to the 99 Shatner.
So, does Darren still offer the blanks to anyone who e-mails or messages him? And if so, is there a general ballpark for how much one might cost? Any info would be greatly appreciated.
