This DB2 Myers #0 belongs to my good friend Alex, (Shapedancer). Alex wanted some “along the way” progress pics so I decided I would just make a thread. I have completely stripped it down to bare latex and tweaked the eyes more to Alex’s liking. He liked it in it’s original condition but wanted something a bit different. I tried to practice NOT making the eyes quite so smooth, still smooth but not laser cut I will be very proud of this one once I’m done and totally honored to even be working on such a piece!
It still amazes me at how freakin awesome the DB2 sculpt actually is! You guys that have never held one of these really needs to! Yes sir, Dennis knocked these slap outta the park and then some!

Original cond which was of course nothing less than AWESOME straight from Mr. Beckstrom!
Edit: whoops not my old proto, but the DB2 is a phenomenal piece regardless of the copy. If Dennis is listening, RECAST these damn things THINNER and SMALLER!!! I still feel the DB2 is the top display piece on the market, but due to the size and thickness of the masks, it doesn’t make the most ideal costume piece, then again Dennis designed and intended these masks for display purposes only
Thanks guys! Hey Kris, here’s the inside of the mask. Is this the one you owned? Sorry if I quoted it wrong but I will change it if someone can clear it up.
My mistake James, this isn’t my proto, this is Col’s old DB, that he sold to Chase. My copy had my name etched inside, the eye cuts and paintscheme along the neckline matched my old proto to a “T”. My mistake.
No problem Kris! Actually this one is snug on my 22 1/4 head! It’s either smaller than my DB2 Kirk that I had or I have gained weight in my noggin. It’s pull detail is amazing!
It couldn’t be in more capable hands. Can’t wait to see the progress on this one James as it is gonna be something to behold. The DB2 is one of my favorite sculpts. Mike
