When they sprayed the mask they got a much lighter coat on the bottom area of the mask and under chin naturally and it,s the spot that gets grabbed take after take. I love shots like these and I try to paint my masks as close as possible but I want them to look like I remember since we will never know how it looked in day light. We might be disapointed. I will also add this from experience. I have stripped these masks and latex paint is tough and would take a while to wear through to flesh but I have to remind myself when weathering a mask they used spray paint and that would be slicker, it would crack and would wear totally different and much much faster. This is JMO
Joe this is one subject I do agree with you on I think alot of the so called “Weathering” was flesh tone showing through for example on the chin like pointed out above .
I think youll see sometime in the near future a H2 mask you will like very much I have a small HMK blank with JC to get done H2 and I think myself you and Mr.Carter are gonna have to have a good 3 way discussion on this somehow because when it comes to the amount of flesh seen on the mask I agree with you Pretty much 100% on this one . I remember you marked off the second last pic below or traced out on it where all the flesh tones should be if you still have that in your photobucket Id love to see you post it in this topic .
Take care
Mike
Very cool observations!
