DISASTER !!! - QUIET ON THE SET / Crofader

Bought their SP4 mask. Scott told me it’d fit up to 24 no problem before the purchase. When I received the mask, I noticed it was extremely small (probably 22.5) and didn’t fit well at all. It was extremely tight and I had to pull the bottom of the mask pretty hard to even chins with it. So I simply asked to exchange it for a larger copy. Scott didn’t care and refused to exchange it or refund. He even went on about how small the H4 hero was and that Wilbur had his chin in the neck area of the mask. WTF!!! :open_mouth: Critical information that would’ve been useful when I first asked since I like to wear my masks. There was no way they were gonna get away with this so I still sent the mask bask.

Then I tried to deal with Paul/Crofader which was even worse. Kept saying that if I was able to get the mask on my head, I got what I paid for… :finga:  Tried paypal but apparently they can’t do anything when it’s about the quality of an item received.

Scott went into hiding and ignored all my pm’s so I had to involve Derek and some mods into this. They all sympathized with me (except Chris/Zephro  ) by saying how they were wrong by intentionally giving me the bad info or that it must suck to receive a smaller mask than what I was told. But since they couldn’t really do anything, getting the mask back was the best option. So now I’m stuck with a tiny mask that I have to try and sell at a lost because of those two “reputable members”.

Here you go Scott:
Verb 1. own up - admit or acknowledge a wrongdoing or error;

And Paul, I’ll be sure to let you know how much I lose on it  .

I love how your head grew .5 inches during this entire thing. I didn’t go into hiding I just deleted all of your pm’s without reading them because I told you the policy and you told me our policy didn’t apply to you. I told you the mask was 23.25 inches in size. You asked if the mask would fit a 23.5 inch head and I told you I had that head size and I could wear the mask. I’m not playing games with you about this so i stopped replying to you. I have done thousands of Q.O.T.S sales with no problems. I have sold 60 Buried masks with no problems. I have bought HUNDREDS of masks and sold masks I have purchased with no problems.

It isn’t my fault if you aren’t George Wilbur inside the mask. I can’t help that your head grew a half inch after you asked me what size the mask was. I have sent masks to people who were concerned about the size of a mask I was selling so they could try it on. Ask Big D about that one. I also talked to just about every other major artist around and they all sided with us. You said you would drag this onto the board and involve PayPal and so far that really hasn’t gotten you anywhere. I told you the truth and you bought the mask. You had a problem and thought it would be my problem but we don’t refund or return masks based on if you don’t look like Wilbur in the mask.

I appreciate the three threads of love you have blessed us with and I won’t be checking them again just like the pm’s you kept sending after I told you I was done with you. Have a good day Pat.

Every single person who asked me the size of the mask was told EXACTLY the size. You know the size of the real hero mask from the movie. Scott has the same head size you supposedly have and it fits him fine and that’s exactly what he told you. I’m not responsible for you not knowing how to measure your head. I’m not responsible for the shape of your head. I’m not responsible for your haircut. If you would have asked if this mask was guaranteed to fit you I would have told you don’t order. By your own words you told me it fits BUT “DIDN’T LIKE THE WAY IT LOOKS ON ME.” So know I’m responsible for you not being George Wilbur’s twin. We talked to just about every mask maker that deal with Myers and every single one of them said don’t refund your money. I love how you try to make it look like Derek and others had your side. Not true at all. Actually it was just the opposite. I have the pm’s to prove that. This is probably more than a size issue but more like a money issue. This guy needed to make multiple payments on the mask and all of a sudden he needs his money back and files a paypal claim almost as soon as he got the mask? This guy also tried to blackmail me by saying if I didn’t refund his money he would trash us on this site. I told him to fuck off because I don’t play games like that. I’ve got nothing to hide. How many masks have fit me perfectly? Probably only a few. What did I do with masks that didn’t fit or didn’t like? I didn’t cry to every mod on the board or involve paypal. I sold it and moved on like every other member on this board. Our mask is the most accurate H4 mask out there and I’m proud every other person who bought one loves it. I’ll let my dozens of positive transactions speak for themselves.

WOW to see something negative about Paul (Crofader) and Scott (QOTS) is simply hysterical and mind-blowing. I have purchased 8 custom QOTS stands from Scott, 4 custom display cases and 2 custom busts with all flawless, phenomenal customer service. I also have bought masks from Scott and was blown away from all the professionalism he provided and complete accuracy. He also replied to emails within minutes and always answered phone calls and provided updates when I never asked for them. I WISH every maskmaker and seller was HALF as accommodating as Scott and Paul. This is just a small summary about my experiences with Scott over the past 2 years. Next, Paul (Crofader)…This guy is simply as amazing as Scott! I bought an early run yak belly hair mint warlock and early run nightowl maniac from paul. Of course these two rare, mint masks costs ALOT of money and I was hesitant. He offered to send them to me and if I didn’t like them (which why in the heck I wouldn’t) I could send them back and he would refund me. I also spent a few weeks talking to him on the phone before I made the big purchase. He answered every question and every detail about the masks and never made me feel like a bother. Also, I bought one of my grails from him, the 4 Stamp NM 81 proto and it was the same thing. These two guys are what makes this hobby for me what it is and one of the few and only guys I trust with my life!!!

Ahh there you are…
Where did you come up with 23.25 :exclamation: . I asked 23.5 – 24. Here’s my pm and your answer to refresh your memory:

The mask will fit you no problem man. You have the same size head as me it seems. Finished masks should be 2-3 weeks. Shipping to Canada is $25. Mask is $375 plus $25 shipping. my PayPal is sadamspencer@gmail.com

And here is what you said after I asked for a larger copy

Sorry Pat but we don’t do refunds or returns on the masks. Did you try to slit the mask up higher? The hero mask isn’t very big and the back is cut pretty high on it. When Wilbur wore the mask his chin was below the chin of the mask and thats why they added the neck piece.

Scott-

Now that’s a PROBLEM. Where was all that information when I first asked you Scott???

Wilbur has nothing to do with this. I wear 23.5 slightly loose and even added ½ inch to be sure. That shows how small the mask is.
Your mask is about 22.5 and another owner also confirmed it was VERY small.

You just avoided me cuz you had nothing to show for. Obviously you knew I wouldn’t have bought it if you’ve told me what you said in your 2nd pm.

No policies were mentioned before I bought it. Which policy is that Scott? I can lie through my teeth and my customers can’t do a thing about it.

I don’t care how many Burieds you sold. I’ve bought many masks in the past and both times something like this happened, the artist gladly exchanged the mask. So you really need to learn from that.

And by asking other artists, you admit to being wrong. Thanks man! That’s a start.

Again with the sarcastic insults :sunglasses:

I see you’re still on Fantasy island. 22.5 doesn’t fit 24  . Like I told you earlier, that’s just your made up hilarious fictive version to try and explain why I returned your small mask. Scott’s answer on the size is the only thing relevant.

Money problem? Multiple payments? See, there you go again…I already told you that I bought a few masks in September. I didn’t have all the funds at the time. But when Scott told me he had 1 finished copy available, I offered a deposit on it and the balance soon after (2 payments). You had the full payment within a week or so. That’s all. You really don’t play fair Paul, not cool.

Of course I filed a claim, what was I suppose to do? I tried to work something out first. I only did that when Scott refused to at least exchange it for a larger copy. And when he gave all the “small size” details after, I had just about enough. Anybody in their right mind would’ve done the same thing. So of course Derek and the mods sympathised with me.

I don’t care what you do. I’ll sell a mask after a certain time, not immediately when I receive it because of wrong size information. Now, I’ll have to sell it with a loss and you’re to blame for that. It may be accurate but now people at least know how small it is.

Dude, there is only one size. You ordered it, they sent it. You didn’t like it and tried to return it. How is this their fault? I have ordered masks in the past that didn’t look right. Did I bitch and moan? No… that’s kinda what you should expect. These masks aren’t made to fit everyone. The h4 is cast off the screen used mask. It is what it is. Hell, I bought a couple dp 99 kirks and they didn’t fit me. I didn’t go blaming dp for making a small mask. I did however see Kaizu post pictures of him wearing a 99 kirk and pictures of him wearing the h4. So I kinda put two and two together. Sucks it didn’t fit you but I don’t see why your bitching. Its your bad for not askinf about the return policy BEFORE you sent your money.

If you ask me its kinda messed up that you posted Scott’s email  . Mask purchasing is a one way business once purchased its yours. For example it would be like buying a 12 pack and drinking one and trying to return the others because you don’t like. But Scott and Paul provided you with the right information and dimensions so that was your risk once purchasing. Hope that my opinion means something. Scott and Paul the way I see it you guys did NOTHING wrong.

Nice try Pat but you bought the mask knowing damn well that I told you it was a 23.25 inch mask. You bought the mask and took a gamble that my head size and shape was exactly like your head. How the mask fits me in comparison to you isn’t something I or any other mask maker can guarantee. I told you the exact size of the mask. That should’ve been the point at which you decided it was too small or large enough to squeeze into but to me it would be obviously skin tight at that point. I hope you have learned to ask all of the right questions when buying a mask and letting the mask makers know if you can’t fit into that mask and look like the actor you don’t want to buy it. How many Mask makers would guarantee you that?

If you would’ve asked me if you could’ve bought the mask and had us ship it for you so you could try on and check the fit and if it didn’t fit you could return it for a refund I would’ve done just that. I have done it in the past. As for me lying to you that is bullshit. I never said I guarantee this mask to fit you or your money back. i told you my head size and you should be fine. Actually you were the one to say that our no return refund stance was a policy and didn’t apply to you. You tried to hang us up to dry but the fact remains that every other mask maker I talked to have seen the pm’s and you’re reply to my response and every single one of them said they wouldn’t refund you unless PayPal sided with you. The second you said you were a great guy and you would bring this onto the board and involve PayPal is the second I deleted every single one of your Pm’s without reading them from that point on.

I’m done with this whole ordeal. Thanks for the public hanging. Since you decided to post all of my info publicly here I will contact all of the mask makers I know with your info so they can avoid you from the get go.

Scott

So you didn’t need to make multiple payments on a $325 mask? That’s a red flag that you have some money issues going on. Honestly I would have worked with you on some resolution but the first thing I hear from you is if I don’t get a refund I’ll have to involve paypal and the board. My response to blackmail is not good. Again Scott has a 23.5 head like you say you do and he has no problem putting it on and that’s EXACTLY what he told you. If the size is this major issue for you then maybe you should have asked more questions like the exact size of the mask. Who is hiding the size? When we first released it I answered 50 pm’s and the size was one of the first things I told everybody. Ask anybody who inquired about the mask. I’m proud that the mask is on the smaller side because that’s exactly how my screen used hero mask is. If you think that’s a bad thing then maybe you’re in the wrong place. This is the thanks I get for giving people a almost exact replica of the H4 mask.

Paul is that you? Can’t have 2 accounts man

I don’t wanna hear about the size of your hero. I don’t care and it’s too late for that. Please don’t do anymore mask projects like this, you’re not fit.

Sorry Pat if people who are beyond happy with my service want to reply. I don’t see anybody taking up for you  . Hey Pat if you can’t afford a mask please don’t buy it. Try to live within your means. I won’t shame you with the story another mask maker told me about you and your “refund” It seems you’re the only one who thinks I’m not fit. I guess I’ll continue to sell my H4 mask to people who understand the importance of accuracy. Go find something else to cry about.

Still trying some damage control with the 23.25. 23.25 is 23 ¼ dude. That size was NEVER discussed and besides, your mask is 22.5+ tops. Looking bad there Scott. I asked 23.5 – 24 just like in our pm that I posted as proof. That by the way is the circumference of your head above the eyebrows. If we’re the same size, the mask was obviously extremely tight and your chin didn’t fit properly. But you decided to skip those details. There was no gamble, you knew the mask wasn’t gonna fit me but you just couldn’t back from a sale. Any other mask maker would’ve been honest on that.

As for the members who took the time to take their noses out of Scott’s ass for a minute and type something… I’ve had some pm’s saying that Scott should and hopefully will be seriously warned about that selling tactic. Some said he should even be banned. These members asked to be anonymous. But we don’t want Scott to leave. Although I decided to go with the original guy for my Buried, I still think Scott can do some decent work. Plus, if he he’s allowed to announce a mask and post production pics on the board, he must really be special.

Someone told me that Scott was sending out pm’s to the owners of his masks asking them to post positive feedback in his favour. It’s so obvious now that it cracks me up. Scott, your attempt at creating a backlash is pathetic. I ain’t going anywhere. I wanted to tell my story and everyone got it.

Ps: And Scott, Please don’t tell the other artists!!! I wouldn’t want to have to beg Nik and Justin to accept my money !!! Funny guy you :axe:

ahhh did I hurt your feelings Paul  :goodman: How many copies did you sell of your H4 ??? 2 or 3  In that case, there’s no way you make more money than me :sunglasses:

If you don’t want to out members who want me banned it really doesn’t matter then does it Pat. These members could’ve very easily sent me a pm and said how they felt and voiced an opinion on what I should’ve done. I know some people here won’t like me but then again not everyone is going to in the first place because that is life. I have never gone out of my way to screw anyone over and try to best as straight forward as possible. I did send out pm’s to my guys who bought and received masks because of your stupid thread slandering the shit out of me. I should’ve been leaving those people feedback for every sale they gave me but got busy and didn’t. You can flame me and shit on my name all you want but the people who know me and deal with me will just look the other way. Honestly I don’t care what you say because I know the mask is 23.25 inches and not 22.5 inches. You should’ve handled yourself better than this or have been smart enough to ask any and all of the right questions so this wouldn’t have happened in the first place. Just burn the mask and move on.

In your logic if a mask is too big for someone and they knew the size before they bought it the artist would have to refund you in full! Unless you sit in for a life cast to have a mask sculpted to your face perfectly not every mask on the market is going to fit perfectly. A mask can only be too small to wear, skin tight or too large.

fail…

Everyone has opinions and I suppose they decide on who they give it too. Probably some thought you were wrong and didn’t tell you because they intend to buy a mask from you in the future. I understand that. You’re a reputable guy who makes great masks so the whole thing did surprise me. I doubt this will hurt your sales and it was never my intention. I never flamed you or slandered you for no reason. I told the story like it happened and you tried using your reputation against me.

I’ve owned about 30 masks altogether. Most were between 23 and 24 or slightly larger. The smallest I’ve had was the Shape 08. It was quite small but I could still put it on. Some will fit differently but I can still wear them all comfortably. I never asked for a perfect fitting mask. Trust me, I’m not difficult. If I returned it, it’s because I had very valid reason to do so. I liked the mask and the size was the ONLY issue. All I asked for was a larger copy like I was told. Or if that wasn’t possible, I even mentioned an H2 Buried since it was a mask I was thinking on getting later. That was a very reasonable proposition. Refunding was the last option.

Maybe you were hoping that it would fit. Maybe some received theirs and just said “oh well, it’s small so it’ll just be a display piece”. I’m sure some still bought it knowing the actual size and knew they were gonna have their chins in the neck of the mask. But I didn’t know that and you never even hinted about that in your reply. A member told me that his head was actually under 23 and that it was tough getting it on. So you can imagine I was afraid to rip it when I tried it on. So even if you say that it’s 23.25, you admit giving me wrong info. When I asked 23.5-24, a logic answer should’ve been something like: We have the same size head apparently but the mask will fit tight because it’s 23.25. Don’t you agree?

Have a good weekend!

I don’t mean to butt in but if you don’t like it PUT IT ON A FOAM HEAD FOR DISPLAY!

It is still the most accurate H4 I’ve ever seen and face it, That is the size of it. I would just display it, what harm could it do?

Zombie… Quit your bitchin. Did you know that masks are not just measured around the crown? Did you ever think that maybe you have a longer face than Scott? Hmm? What about that smart ass? Scott and I have the same size head around the crown but my face is a little longer than his so there are masks that he can wear that I can’t. Take the psycho for example. It fits him fine and it looks great but when I put it on, it stretches and doesn’t look right. Instead of just crying about it online and trying to prove something. Why don’t you just shut the fuck up, move one and sell it. I’m sure you can get a shitty cgp mask that is made for people with a Shrek kead like yours.
