Exactly. Besides superfans like the majority of us, casual fans don’t even know which actor played which version of Myers in which Halloween film. I am just happy he got to have a part in this film as he was the original Shape
Casual fans think a rubies or some dime store Myers mask looks just like the movie and some will compliment it and say “nice Jason mask”.
I actually agree with this. I thought JJC was the best since Nick in the original.
100% agreed. I think Nick gave him a lot of pointers and JJC just ran with it and absolutely killed the role. I’ll always love Warlock but JJC truly is right behind Castle for me. It felt like I was watching Nick for most of the film to be honest
Yes, it felt like Nick was Myers throughout the whole movie. JJC got it spot on as Myers.
I thought so too. When I described it to friends I kept saying it felt like the original Myers, he moved smoothly like a shark, a force of nature, a predator doing what predators do.
Watching BTS videos on YouTube last night I found one where he said his inspiration was a cat, hunting.
So I think his portrayal was successful. Yeah my thought was shark, and he said cat,…but still…they’re both predators, and they stalk and move smoothly with a purpose. So I feel he was successful in channeling that ‘smooth force of nature’ effect, because I definitely got that impression from him.
