I always felt like the knife, be it foam or plastic, really completes the look but idk, I’ve always been afraid to take a fake knife out with me thinking someone would think it was real and call the cops. This year I’m going out trick or treating with my nephew because my my sister is back living in the same town as me and pulling the Mike costume out of the mothballs for the first time in years I was considering the knife but I dunno. What do do guys do?
it depends. ive never had an issue but I usually go to pretty tourist heavy places where the bars are and people know who Michael is. however, in my neighborhood where there are a lot of old timers I wouldnt do it.
maybe I’m lucky but I’ve carried dulled knives with me on Halloween and haven’t been faced with too much of an issue, granted I didn’t stray too far past a few streets to “stalk” people on Halloween and I didn’t hold it when kids were around just to be safe, i think as long as you’re mindful its all good
cons don’t allow metal weapons, if you’re in public, they will flip out at the sight of them, I don’t think a knife is always necessary anyhow
I’ve never had a problem with plastic knives. It’s halloween, most people are gonna know it’s just a prop.
During these times I would’nt risk it. With the recent stabbings in the news people would get freaked out.
I took a real knife with me last year. Given it was dulled down to the point of no return as an actual knife but it was covered in perma blood so it pretty much had a rubber coating on it. With it being Halloween, you shouldn’t have a problem
More often than not, I am carrying my prop knife
