Dog deleted scene from Halloween 2018

Glad they deleted this scene. Not cool

Michael ate a dog in the original Halloween so I’m not sure what’s “not cool” about this.

He’s stabbing innocent women through the neck and a dead dog is bad?

He ate a dog and killed Lester in the original, so he’s got form for dog hating.

I love dogs. So I’m glad I didn’t have to see that scene. I could care less about people. Dogs are innocent… people aren’t.

At least he left the baby alone

Man, I’m torn about this one. As much as I love dogs, I think this would have been a nice touch. IMO, it has a very child-like morbidity to it (almost mischievous in a way), which would really emphasize the true evil that he is.

I mean all these scenes were in the novelization of the movie which is way better then the movie.

I wouldn’t have minded it, honestly most of the deleted scenes should have made it onto like an extended cut of the movie. I feel like the movie is kind of short at times, especially during the climax.

I wish they had kept that in. The shot as MM standing next to van was awesome.

I love the shot of him standing next to the van!

Who else thought the beginning of the scene was an ad?

God saaaaame. It was weirdly shot, tbh. Probably a good thing to cut it just for that.

I didn’t see an issue with the scene. Wish they would’ve kept it in. Yes, I love dogs too but it’s fake and it would’ve just added to the darkness for the film. I didn’t think the film was dark enough

This should’ve been in it. Movie went by waaaay to fast. This would have slowed it down just a little bit, plus it shows us more of the original Michael, taunting and settling fear into people, instead of just walking around stabbing people on sight.

Completely Agree

I disagree, this and all the other deleted scenes were LAME. The dog one in particular makes no sense to me for a few reasons:

  1. Why would he go to Haddonfield, hang a dog-then follow the posacasters to the gas station-then back to Haddonfield?
  2. Where did the van come from? Thought he had a pick up truck then the podcasters car?
  3. Hanging a dog in the middle of the road seems very un-Shape like, then again one could argue going door to door killing random people and not stalking them first or watching them is very un-Shape like either.

Idk… I just wish they didnt slap the Bluray release together. I dont need a Bahnmese sandwich deleted scene… lets see that knife fight (which they still show for the promos for the bluray release LOL)

I expected it to be a lot more gory. I mean, let’s face it. We see Michael kill dogs in H1, H4, H5, and RZH2. This isn’t a new hobby of his.

A hanging dog is not near as bad as actually showing it take place

Everyone is talking about the dog, but don’t forget he killed that little boy in the truck.
