Other than Halloween, my favorite was The Prince of Darkness.
I believe his character “Dr. Loomis” was one of the reasons Halloween was such a big hit. There was something about the way he spoke in the films that grabbed you and made you believe that Michael Myers was truely evil. As we get older so do the characters from the original Halloween. It’s sad to think that someday Jamie Lee Curtis and all of the other characters will be gone as well. It makes you realize how very short our life is. And how important it is to appretiate and enjoy every day we have left. Because before you know it, it’s over. And we never come back.
There will never be another actor that can even come close to replicating his character.
Rest in peace Mr. Pleasense.

In my opinion Donal Pleasence was the most important character next to Myers himself that made Halloween the masterpiece it was, is and will continue to be.
The man was not only an accomplished film and stage actor but also a person who is synonymous with the word CLASS.
His work is very much appreciated in and beyond the Halloween series. A brilliant actor in every sense.
Thank you for all the years you dedicated to this franchise that we all know and love. Thank you for believing in Halloween.
