My knife was delivered this morning. One week late for the total 1978 look, but at least, I’ll be absolutely ready for Halloween 2020… Can’t wait !
Ten days ago, I received these Tradewears. They are 38R, and I guess spruce green (not sure, as usual, since I can’t see colors and pictures are always a bit off). They do fit, they are the darkest coveralls I currently own and even if they’re not right, they totally do the trick anyway, so… I think I won’t search anymore for more accurate coveralls (yeah, sure).
My three favourite (from L to R, Spruce Tradewear 38R, Charcoal Tradewear 40S, Greenish-Blue-Grey Work and Leisure hemmed 42L) :
I did change the collar button for the last two of them, since they originally were snaps…
The first pair (the charcoal one) I bought in August on Ebay from an Italian fan - which is a member of this forum too. They fit but are a tad short even for my small stature.
About three weeks ago, I found two different green pairs with jeans buttoned collars on - believe it or not !!! - Facebook !
A lady from Midwest refused to sell me the first pair because it implied shipping and she wanted pick up only… Sad ! She sold them for… 5 bucks. I don’t know the exact size, she said they were medium.
Another seller from New York wasn’t keen either for shipping, but since I did explain I would pay the total, she relented ! 72 $ (plus shipping)… I was a bit anxious about the size 38R, since I didn’t know about Sears sizes compared to Big Macs, but the opportunity to own Tradewears, you just can’t let it go.
So, she shipped them on the 23rd, they were mine the 29th… they’re a match, they fit and even if they’re old, of course, I dont think they were worn more than one or two times. They looked quite new !
Of course, I remain cautious about the color (I tried to ask French friends about it, but some saw them green, other say they were grey, and since they know squat about colors names, that was no help at all ) but after all, finding Tradewears my size, with the right collar and a close enough color : I feel lucky. (“Well, do you, punk ?”)
Until a few weeks ago, I owned a pair of olivewood BM 38R, and it seems these Tradewears are quite the same size lengthwise, though probably a little more snug on the waist, since the BM were a perfect fit last year when I was 20 pounds heavier than today…
I guess I would fit even better in 40R Tradewears !
To be frank, the 40S are very short, even if they say it should be alright for people under 5’7 : the hem is about half a inch above my ankles, it gives me a kind of DW look which I’m not a fan of (the look, not Mr Warlock). I guess my two Tradewears are not cut the same way and so, the 38R fits me better than the 40S.
PS : What do you mean, insanely short ? I know I am ! Let’s start a club of Tiny Myerses, but if I remember correctly, you’re young enough to be my son, so you may gain a few more inches during the next years !
I’m 22, so my growth is done, I’m practically 5’2, but I use tricks in my shots to make me look taller, both my Big Macs have some Bagginess in them which helps for a Castle look, and I am 97lbs
Hey guys!!! It was kinda cool to find myself mentioned on this great thread!!!
Congrats on your new score!! Those tradewear look great! I love those work n leisure you got as well!!!

I received last month a TOTS 1978 mask (not Bogeyman), and I have a '08 Psycho Returns signed by Justin Mabry and by Mark Beadle which is more accurate than my KM, but both look comically oversized for my head (I’m about 23 2/3 inches).
I wish I was way more handy to make a perfectly sized mask but that’s not one of my artistic qualities…
