I recently saw Douglas Tait, who was Michael’s stunt double in Halloween Kills, posted on his Tik Tok a video of him getting into costume. I commented to ask what color the coveralls are, he responded with Navy. Interesting. I do still believe they are charcoal grey, maybe this just goes to show how blue the charcoal grey really looks.
That is literally impossible

The Navy has been proved to be too blue, it’s charcoal.
Nope, already been debunked
Keep in mind, most of these actors and crew people know jack shat about Michael Myers, and unless they happen to be a fan they don’t really realize how anal about the details that some fans are. He probably thought they look navy color to him, so he just said something to seem like he actually knows.
I mean, DT has been a fan, so it’s odd to me he would say navy.
I think they are definately navy what makes u guys say charcoal? Not to start any conflict I really didn’t study to hard on these particular films but maybe a few screen grabs or proof would be nice to see. If anyone can show me why I’d genuinely like to see thanks
Nick said Navy too but here they are just in different lighting, makes sense why they said navy too.
This shot for one
and this shot from 2018 of Nick and JJC which show the coveralls in their true colour
Same thing in this shot from Kills. still charcoal
This is like the “what color is the dress” meme all over again lol. I’m convinced that if Jjc and Nelson came out and said a color there would still be people telling them they are wrong
Only if they said it was navy, because then they’d be wrong

Never trust or believe what actors says regarding to props. It’s just props to them. They’re given the props, they wear it and they act for the movie. It’s always been like that
It’s so cool seeing my photos being used! I was the first person on this forum to get a pair of workrites. The seller listed them as charcoal and they were only like $20 or so, so I jumped on the offer. When I received them, I thought for sure the seller had sent me the wrong color. I thought he had sent me navy. It just goes to show how blue the charcoal actually is. However, sometimes when I would look at them hanging up, I’d think, “How in the world did I think those were blue?”
Charcoal looks better anyway, so just go with that.
I have spruce green red kaps and they can look green, blue, OR charcoal depending on the lighting.
It’s so funny to see the blue, green, charcoal debate still going on in the new movies lmao. We used to all try to figure out the h1 color too.
They look navy to me, but is the navy color they offer really saturated ? Is that what separates them ?
They’re likely charcoal and can look navy to the eye in certain photos/lighting. If I remember right there was an experiment done when H18 came out and we found that you can get the charcoal ones to look both navy and charcoal, but the navy only ever looked navy- never charcoal.
In re: to Movie people being incorrect about stuff that is 1000% the case. I was texting with Louis Lazzara (prior to his passing) who worked on a few Friday movies and be brought up working on H20. I showed him the Winston Stunt and he swore it wasn’t ever used on screen or promotional material when we know that’s not the case, and that’s just one of many examples of FX artists being incorrect. The problem is to most of them it’s just a job and to us it’s a hobby that we are passionate about on every little detail.
That being said, I’m not sure that can apply here as this film was less than a year ago. In this case it’s most likely just a misconception based on how the coveralls appear in certain lighting.

That’s right about the charcoal comparisons that was done, and charcoal can easily look blue in just natural light to the naked eye as you said, but even more blue on a camera as well
Im pretty sure everybody bought green coveralls for h1 but I bought charcoal, and I’ve shot with charcoal coveralls for years now and I don’t see how that works. Sorry man. Not buying it. These don’t look charcoal
