Dr. Sleep director’s original plans for a Halloween reboot

After reading that, and suffering thru Dr Sleep, lets all be glad that he didn’t. (And there was much rejoicing!)

Flanagan’s a good director, even though he had no story ideas, his actual direction would have been a welcome improvement. He directed Oculus, Hush, Gerald’s Game, Absentia, and the Ouija prequel, which are all good (I haven’t seen Before I Wake, which he also directed). His lone idea of a female Dr. Loomis could easily have been Laurie acting as Dr. Loomis’ successor of sorts, which I’d rather have seen than an H:20 retread of Laurie mixed with a survivalist recluse.
