Dye Tips to help with my new jumpsuit

Hey all! Been lurking through this awesome forum gearing up to tackle my first Myers jumpsuit. It’s great to see all of you being so detail oriented and that has helped me greatly. So, here’s what I have cooking…

I grabbed a Red Kap “Spruce Green” jumpsuit. I understand that the color is actually “Tex Green”. I have scoured the earth to find a replica and without spending a trillion dollars, have no luck. I understand there are some differences with the Red Kap I got and the OG jumpsuit such as the button on the collar and the single flap over the right breast pocket. The pockets on the red Kap are a little more rounded but I’ll just ride with it. I am having my tailor fix up the pocket and the button situation.

Sorry for the long post but my question is, has anyone dyed a “spruce green” jumpsuit using a darker green to try and match the original as close as possible. Seems like it needs a darker green to offset the coloring but I was hoping someone has already tackled this issue and has had “good” results.

Anything you guys have in mind, please let me know. The best season is coming up and I want to have my whole outfit on point.

Also, any other pointers you could give me would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks for your time and sorry for the long post.
