Ebay Buyer head's up

Not sure if this is the best spot to post this (mods please move if necessary), but I thought everyone might appreciate a head’s up re. a new buyer on Ebay who’s been going hard buying expensive masks and not paying. Add this one to your Blocked Bidder List! His buyer id is russellconstco If you check his feedbacks a tonne of sellers are starting to leave false positives as warnings and there’ll be more given that he’s torn through about 42 purchases in the last week (including one from myself).

Here’s a run down of his purchases so you can see the history while it’s still available: http://cgi6.ebay.com.au/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewBidItems&userid=russellconstco&completed=1&all=1&rows=50&sort=12&_rdc=1

Oh and it’s worth noting that his address is Brooklyn and may be fake (looks like an abandoned office building in an industrial area). If you need any details just pm me.

Edit to add: I have just been informed that this same buyer has three previous accounts that have all been NARU’d (no longer a registered user), so it’s worth adding these to your blocked bidder lists just in case he ever manages to revive one:

Yes this prick go me too . http://www.ebay.com/itm/Myers-mask-horror-freddy-halloween-rot-/280792543656?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item41608a31a8

What a loser …

Yep, that’s the same sack of shit that won my item, begged me to not delete his bids, & promised he’d pay.
Sellers STAY AWAY from this scum.

I noticed sellers keep leaving him 100% feedback, but urge to stay away from him. Why is that? Why not leave him 0%?

Unfortunately eBay has a policy that doesn’t allow sellers to leave negative feedback for buyers; thus the false positives. I’ve personally quit selling anything on eBay & would advice other sellers to do the same. I’ve had buyers pay for items through PayPal then, once they receive them, file a claim with eBay stating the item was not as described. The buyers are refunded every penny of their cash (including shipping) provided they simply return the item to the seller with a tracking number. Guess what happens next? The seller gets a package in the mail a few days later with nothing but packing peanuts & a few blank VHS tapes inside. Meanwhile, since the tracking number registers as “delivered” the money is already taken out of your PayPal account & the seller is out their product & their cash. To add insult to injury the buyer gets to leave negative feedback on the selllers account. Nice, huh?

Yeah, dude got me too :imp:

_Yeah this piece of sh got me too a while back on 2 different masks I was selling.
What you described here bryanwake…wow this sucks :open_mouth:

It’s amazing how Pay Pal always sides with the buyer. You could score some major high dollar items doing this process and never paying a dime. Just sending back empty box’s with a tracking number and then your money is refunded. In todays world it’s hard to sell anything without risk unless it’s old fashioned face to face cash deal. Scammers on every corner with new ways everyday to get it done.

Yeah, russelconstco got me to. He agreed to purchase an Addison Revisioned H1 from me. I filed a claim today & it really upsets me the way that you have to leave positive feedback in order to provide the details of the transaction. That is complete BS if you ask me.

If anyone wants the Addison, I’ll sell it for $100 + shipping to any of my mm.net brothers (or sisters)

I am getting really jaded with this whole eBay business. They have no problem taking your money through various fees (including papyal fees for exchanging funds & transferring them into my Canadian bank account) but they are afraid of turning away the buyers & keeping them accountable.

Hi folks
Sad to hear this :frowning: and things like this really gets me mad, arrrgh, :imp:

But,i dont know about how things are deliverd and the proceduers regarding getting packages deliverd in US and otherplaces BUT here in Norway this will not be so easy to get off with for scammers/frauders like this, because when someone sends me a package with signature on delivery here in Norway i first get a notificatin note in my mailbox saying the package is at my lockal/nearest postoffice,so i have to go there, deliver the note stated to me,show approved ID like a passport or a updated(not to old)driverlicense and then they will go and get the pacage at their storeroom and doublechecks every details AGAIN,before handing it over to me!

AND heres the deal,i can at that time request the pacage opend at the postoffice and have the postemployee witness and evt confirm i got what apperantly should have been inside the pacage!!!if its obiusly NOT is the pacage will not be stated deliverd! and they will immidatley take hold of the pacage and deliver it to further investigatins and notify the police

and contackt every involved parts like paypal etc, this is a good security,so if someone sends me a pacage of peanuts or so this will be a clear case of scam/fraud if it states it should be a mask inside, not a bag of peanuts or some old vhs tapes!this go both ways
i can also get them to witness i pack a mask for shipping to the reciver, the postemployee will then seal the pacage and make a notifications of this has been done!so no one can claim i sent a pack of peanuts instead of a mask!and best of all, this service is FREE OF CHARGE! i recomand anyone to do this if possible!

It must be possible to do this??even if its deliverd at your door??DONT sign before open it and have the carrier witness its content!

Good luck folks, and take these precautions if possible!!always!

How do you block a ebay user from bidding on your stuff. I cant let this douche get me again.

This is so ridiculous and it happens constantly. One easy fix to eliminate some of the problem would be to make the buyer pay immediately on a Buy It Now. Now I know this wouldn’t help when they win an auction they bid on. But for the life I me I will never understand why some sellers aren’t allowed to require immediate payment on a BIN.

This is disgusting to hear, and where in the hell is the Logic behind all of this mumbo jumbo Jargon, this makes no sense whatsoever that you can’t leave a negative feedback on a negative experience with a Buyer, yet on the other side of the coin its fine for him to leave a negative feedback on a very positive Seller Transaction, this kind of thing is just inviting dishonesty from those that are that way inclined because the simple fact of the matter is they know they can get away with it.if there’s any justice in the world its not being served up here.

This guy ALMOST duped me, too. I saw he was bidding on my item and that he only had three for feedback, so I checked out the feedback. That’s when I saw he had two of these “false positives” within 2 days time! I actually contacted those sellers to ask about this buyer and both said he was a deadbeat. One of the sellers told me he’d had other sellers also contact him about this buyer so right there was a huge red flag that this person did not have any intention on paying for a won auction. I ended up canceling his bid on my item (yes, this can be done with a valid reason – and I thought this was a very alid reason) so I was able to void his bid and put him on my Blocked Bidder list at the same time. Once I was able to cancel his bid, it showed me that his high bid on my item was $700.00 – so this person had every intention on screwing me, too. Glad I was able to block that before it happened. I’m sorry to hear of all the people this person screwed over – it’s too bad sellers aren’t allowed to leave negative feedback for people like this.

For those that don’t know how to add someone to a blocked bidder list, if you go to the site map at the bottom of the main page (under TOOLS) and the middle column stated “Block Bidder/Buyer List” – click on that and you can update your list. I’d also read somewhere to keep a copy of your blocked bidder list somewhere else on your computer (just as a word document) because apparently Ebay tends to “update” their stuff and it wipes out this information. So it’s a good idea to keep a list somewhere else you won’t delete it so you’ll always have it.
