Walked passed the Elrod house today, surprised to see it for rent. I would nab it but that’s a little steep on rent. Plan on taking some good pics of it finally.
Very cool find Jake
Do they know it was used for the film?
Pretty sure, because they never liked people peeking over their fence in the alley way
Haha, exactly
I can remember seeing a video where I think it was Todd n Carlos who looked over fence and this chap wasn’t bet pleased with em lol.
Cool news too learn btw
thats nuts how much they want a month for rent thats 5 house payments for me shhesh and my house is older and alot bigger they can keep it lol
That is way cool. Yeah, 3K sounds about right considering the location and the fact this house was used in an iconic horror film. If I had the $$ I would jump on it. I could totally picture myself sitting in the living room and make my girl ask me if I want mayonnaise or mustard on my ham sandwich.
Dude…we should all pitch in money and rent this place together, we could all live there. How badass would that be? And on Halloween night, we shall celebrate with a multitude of ham sandwiches (with either mayonnaise or mustard, of course!)
Did he really say that?
Yeah when Todd was filming the house “Mr Elrod” came out and asked wtf he was doing filming his house
LMAO!!! The look on his face, haha…
I was just reading on Dark Destinations, that according to Horror’s Hallowed Grounds, the street in front of the Elrod house reportedly did appear in the later scene of Halloween II when Loomis misidentifies a trick-or-treater as Michael Myers, which results in the unfortunate fiery death of the teenager.
That would be cool to live there, but damn that is pricey!
Here is a pic I took of the angry “Elrod house” man. That was hilarious, and yes he really did say that.
I can’t blame him, there were a hundred people peeking over his fence.
Was he ever made aware of what and why and did he respond ?

I wonder if the 1950’s table saw (no blade) is included with the house. And I love how the blind is on the outside of the window.
Those are outdoor blinds for patios (sure you knew that) and probably used because the house is Craftsman, inside of the house are plaster walls (most likely)
I have plaster walls and they suck. You cant hang anything with weight to them. The stuff just crumbles.
So they probably could not hang blinds inside due to the fact that pulling and tugging on blinds would eventually rip out of the wall sooner than later.
I have to use cheap lightweight curtain rods and material light enough just to have privacy without the damn things ripping out of the wall due to weight.
… sorry for the nerd reply …

Hey Man, that’s no problem. I actually have one of those blinds for my patio when the sun starts setting. I’ve just never seen one on the outside of a window. With your explaination, I understand now.
exactly!

In the link provided in the thread earlier, the house appears to majorly renovated on the outside/inside recently…someone must have been watching HGTV. I think the renovation has a lot to do with the rental price not because of Halloween II at all; otherwise they would have listed Halloween II in the description.
