Michael Myers is portrayed as one of the strongest characters in “Halloween Kills.” Despite a mob chanting, “Evil dies tonight,” and attacking him with various weapons—stabbing and shooting him—his inner evil proves to be so powerful that he defeats them all in under a minute. This is the second group he confronts in the film, having already caused significant chaos. Earlier, he took down a team of skilled firefighters while hunting down Laurie Strode and her family. Michael Myers survived a series of traps and numerous other challenges, including being run over by a car, and he is supposed to be in his sixties. This just proves that when ‘The Sandman’ comes for you, you better hope and pray that God gets you first. I am Michael Myers - Fear Me.
I really wish that scene had been longer and that they hadnt shown all the best parts in the trailer. That saw kill should have been way more visceral to really set the tone as we just saw him brutally smash a guys head in with the halligen bar and also to showcase all of Nelsons/crews hard work its just out of focus and cut too quickly i felt for a kill that brutal. Its all shot and scored so beautifully but over in a heartbeat. And the panavision glide should have been utililized way more, its what set halloween apart. Its unfortunate they only did the riole reversal thing where you see the victims perspective. Its fucking wicked and should have been used alot more IMO its just gritty and realistic seeing things through a characters eyes. Huge missed oppurtunity in all of the Halloween sequels minus H2.
Having plunged headfirst into the chilling world of “Halloween Kills” more times than I could have ever imagined, I’m still uncovering new layers of brilliance with each viewing! The cinematography is absolutely stunning, every frame meticulously crafted to ramp up the tension and amplify the eerie atmosphere. As Michael Myers stalks his prey, he moves with a haunting fluidity that perfectly embodies the essence of a relentless predator—both terrifying and mesmerizing.
The filmmakers have truly outdone themselves in capturing his iconic traits. His unnerving stealth, lethal precision, and monstrous strength come together to turn his horrifying rampage into a nightmarish ballet. Each kill unfolds with a mesmerizing horror, showcasing not only Myers’ raw physicality but also the psychological torment he unleashes on his victims.
Watching him develop as a character only cements his role as a force of pure destruction. Operating with a cold, calculating demeanor, he leaves chaos and devastation in his wake, cementing his status as an unforgettable figure in horror cinema. The sheer intensity of the film elevates his reputation to that of an unstoppable killing machine, evoking a blend of fascination and dread as he embarks on his chilling journey. Get ready for a wild ride into terror!
I feel like the music from the trilogy is often overlooked. Its really good. IMO.
Absolutely! The soundtrack is truly remarkable—the fusion of synthesized beats seamlessly woven into various scenes, accompanied by those powerful, iconic drum sequences, creates a captivating auditory experience. The drums resonate with an intensity that perfectly punctuates the action, making each moment feel exhilarating. Even when you’re not immersed in the film, the music alone is a delightful treat for the ears, evoking the vivid imagery of the movie and enhancing the overall enjoyment.
Yup those are the words to the thoughts I have difficulty articulating. Nice man.
& not to mention, it’s really BADA$$ too!
Ya it really is. that one track in 2018 where allison discovers ocscar and meets Myers. Wish that was longer and or utilized as a motif again somewhere. Like the sounding of an alarm in musical form. Just the dread it evoked . Perfection. Just one example that still resonates with me.
