Eyecuts question

So I converted the Kirk mask, but I feel like there’s an h4 look to it and I came to the conclusion it’s because of the eyeholes, would opening them up more (with reference pics of course) be a good idea?

just needs to be oval shaped

Don’t open anymore. You will ruin the mask. Style the hair properly and go from there.

on the hero mask they aren’t perfectly almond shaped. and each eye is not identical. heres some pics from my reference collection when i do my conversion. hope this helps give you a sense of how the hero masks eye holes look. one of the most important steps of nailing an h1 or h2 replica is getting the eyes spot on. another quick tip is before doing a paint job and cutting out the eyeholes, really take your time and slowly draw on the shape around each eye while having your pics handy. if you rush then they wont come out too accurate

just for the sake of a better quality image. this replica mask nailed the shape of both pretty well

you think I could reshape them like that? or something close?

in theory you could but then you would have the problem of the eyecuts looking way too large on your mask. honestly you didn’t do too bad of a job the way they are now. like someone else said just focusing on fixing the hair, and you have a pretty damn good mask
