Running through my mind has been a constant idea of sorts, making a reappearance every few days or so and I simply can’t escape it.
Has anyone made a project/fan-film/script about a potential documentary set IN the universe of Halloween? A Title of The Haddonfield Murders: One Year Later. Only issue is figuring out whether I would make it part of the new trilogy so it follows the original movie and events from novelizations, plus the Flashback scene in Ends. However, I firmly believe it would make more sense for it to actually take place in Halloween 1 and Halloween 2, as the events are much more dramatic than the new trilogy since it involves much more intense, visceral imagery and has more emotions connected to the town.
It can follow interviews with nurses, archival footage, and even rare glimpses of Michael Myers stalking in the background between News footage being shot on that fateful day in 1978. A single idea I have is a news reporter going through the street of Lampkin Lane, calmly talking about the events set up for that night which include a late-night party for children at the local school. They continue to walk and list off the details, while in the background a figure emerges from the old, disheveled home in dirty and ragged coveralls with a pale, emotionless face. A few seconds pass by as it stands there, before slowly entering a brown wagon and driving off, turning towards the road which leads to the high school.
Of course, the most I can do is potentially make a script or concept since my body is simply not right for a 1978 Myers look, and I’ve never tried acting. Is this a unique idea and something one might be interested in?
That sounds like an amazing idea
I remember a fan film made by someone we won’t name here, and they had people dress up as Myers and the real one was hiding amongst them, if you combine that and your idea, it would be a great fan film, as far as actors, it’s best to get a stunt guy in the role, but with that said, this idea would require a pretty big budget, unless you know a lot of people with industry style training and experience
Follow the first few movies. And get a nice close up shot of jimmy’s ass.
A similar mockumentary-style film was made in 2016 called “Michael Myers: Absolute Evil.” They took it in a strange direction where all the Halloween films (1978-2002) were all canon, but it’s still interesting.

The small three-person crew working for the local Haddonfield news department stood perplexed as the brown station wagon made a slow turn out of view. Dean, still holding the camera with his reporter in frame finally relaxes and stops filming.
“Uh, alright then. Can we use that? Did it look spooky?”
“It gave me the creeps.”
“Didn’t ask you, Becky.”
“We’re gonna have to re-shoot that, Dave. You completely stopped talking about the fundraiser once you saw that guy.”
“Really? C’mon. Can’t you edit it quick so you still see that kid walking out of the house and staring at us? I think it sets a good mood for the piece, you know?”
“Listen, this is a fluff story. We’re not trying to win any awards here. Let’s just re-shoot it and get to the hardware store before lunch.”
“Do we really need to let Haddonfield know they can pick up a hammer on sale?”
“Becky! For Christ’s sake. Why are you in a bad mood all of a sudden?”
“Nichols’ Hardware was the sole sponsor for the Gala tonight, so yes, we really have to.”
“Shit! What time is the Gala? I think Mrs. Wallace booked us two tickets and hired a babysitter for the night.”
“I don’t remember. It’s on the itinerary in the van. Let’s just get this shot and move to the next one.”
