Favorite Scene in H1

As we draw near to the big day I have been watching all the Halloween movies. My favorite is still H1 and favorite scene is the clotheline scene. I was wondering what everyone’s favorite scene from h1?

Thanks :myers

My favourite scene is after Laurie finds Annie and Lyndas bodies and Michael slowly emerges from the dark. Gives me chills every time

When Michael waddles toward Laurie from behind at the end.

When Michael sits up from the floor after the closet scene and slowly turns his head in the background

So hard to choose because every scene of the movie is amazing, but the closet scene used to really scare me as a kid

Incredibly tough choice, but I gotta go with the scene where Tommy looks out the window and sees michael standing across the street. I just love that shot, the music, the leaves blowing, the kids trick or treating, and the gorgeous lighting that blacks out Michael, so that he truly is ‘the shape’.

I love the School Yard Scene and Michael chasing after Laurie from the Wallace House.

The Hallway scene, and when Laurie is banging on the Doyle house while Michael is slowly walking across the street towards her.

This moment

All of them. That’s why it’s a classic movie imo.

Phone scene.

Hard to pick one. When his face materializes in the black doorway behind Laurie is definitely up there.

H1 is my favorite, also, and is my favorite horror movie ever.
It’s a three way tie for me. One: Michael carrying Annie’s body into the house, as Tommy watches from the window (awesome background noise, from the movie on tv, adds to the darkness effect). Two: The scene of Michael’s face emerging from the darkness, behind Laurie. Three: The chase scene (especially when Michael breaks through the locked door).

When Annie is stuck in the laundry room. As a child I was terrified to watch it without hiding behind a cushion. Or the chase scene for the same reason.

Michael getting out of the station wagon and walking up to the tree and spying on Annie at the Wallace House…that scene stuck with me as a kid! Just so spooky and them Trick or Treaters right there around omg…only if they knew that was the Boogeyman…creepy stuff!

Phone scene

Hallway scene for sure, this pic I took earlier today kind of reminds me of it

Id have to say Lyndas death!

Too hard for me to pick just 1 so here are the scenes that really stand out for me:
The opening POV of young Michael turning on the light, pulling out the knife and going up the stairs.
The inmates wandering around during Michael’s escape.
Michael following Tommy from the school yard in the car/following Annie and Lorrie in the car.
Annie’s corpse laid out on the bed with Judith’s grave stone.
The scene where the kids turn to see Michael standing there after Tommy says “you can’t kill the bogyman”.
The ending montage.

Gonna have to be the outro. The quick shots we get of the various places Michael had been that night, and places he could be hiding in still, overlaid with the breathing effect getting louder and louder until…
HALLOWEEN
It’s perfect. Intense, terrifying, and wraps up the movie very nicely.
