I see this a lot on facebook, a lot of his photos being sold. I see other peoples also being sold. Once I even saw one of mine I did a while back. I jumped on that real quick but was blocked.
Simons “psycho Si” creep fotos floating all over the net … he is printed even on tshirts …mugs etc… loool … for me it would be an honor that people love a photo so much to spend money on it
Its funny that a lot of people just Google “Michael Myers” and pick a good picture without a second thought of who it came from. I see collectible UL’s shots all over the internet too lol
Of course it’s flattering for someone to think your picture is so good, but to capitalize off of it and Caleb or Simon get none of the insane profits this guy is probably making is the part that’s fucked.
Also not even asking them for permission

Not sure how to feel about this to be honest. A bittersweet feeling I guess. My fault for not watermarking/copyrighting. But yeah… I should get a free t-shirt & poster at least!
That is a sweet picture. I’ve researched copyright, patent, and trademark law in regards to art and whatnot, and you don’t have to register a copyright like you would a patent or trademark.
Once you create something artistically, you automatically own the copyright to it. The only issue is whether or not the depiction of a licensed character (Michael Myers) violates the owner’s rights.
(ie, if you took a picture in a home made skeleton mask, you can sell pictures/t shirts/ whatever you want BUT if that picture contained the intellectual property of someone else AND you are making a profit off of it, you are in fact violating the owner of the trademarked entity’s rights)
Over on Reddit a man posted in r/legaladvice because he took a photo of his Jeep in the mountains, then North Face actually stole his photo and used it on shirts. The general consensus was that because he took the photo HE owned the rights to it and it’s use, no matter what brand or product (in this case, Myers) was in it. He contacted north face and they were forced to remove it I believe. I wonder if that same thinking would apply here?
If you take a photo and put in on the web without a watermark. Or somewhere clearly visible your name and copyright, a “C” inside a circle. Then it is free for anyone to use. If something is important to you or you want to sell it, then you simply can’t put it online.
