Few Halloween Questions for you veterans

Hello everyone! Long time fan, first time posting :jack_o_lantern:

I was curious why in the book they state that young Michael knew that he had an advantage over the sanatarium. He was up for review with his first judge to be released and that judge was lenient. The judge had a heart attack before the review which Loomis celebrated. The new judge kept Micheal in confinement. After that they jump to Michael being 21 and being voluntarily mute. In the book they do not address why he became voluntarily silent. I can’t find it in the H1 movie either.

What happened between the rejection of release till then? They don’t talk about it, was it a mental breakdown like rz suggests? Was it samhein? :myers:

My other question is: H18 Michael losing his left hand is very serious. He’s shown to have his wounds from H1. How do you guys think the next part of the storyline will play out? His grip strength to grab and pull someone in to stab and strangling will be greatly diminished. I’ve been thinking about that alot :confounded:

Well, Michael didn’t lose his whole hand, He just lost two fingers.

Welcome to the boards first of all, and well, him not talking is deliberately left to the imagination.

We aren’t really supposed to know, which makes it that much scarier not knowing what makes him tick so to speak. RZ attempted to answer these things, but after seeing his interpretation of it, I would rather not know.

Michael is the Boogeyman, pure evil with no real signs of what drives him. Much how he had no rhyme or reason to who he killed and who he let live in this latest film.

As for his hand, he lost his pinky and ring finger, so he will still be able to grab fairly strongly still having his stronger of the two fingers as well as thumb.

He will be back, and probably pretty pissed he lost some fingers lol. Don’t worry, Michael manages to get through the worst possible scenarios.
