Hey guys. Hope you all are well. A mask on Etsy caught my attention and I wanted to check in to see if any of you had dealt with this seller or perhaps have seen the mask in person. The mask is the MCS DIY 78 list for sale by Strodes Revenge Studio. The photos look really good to me, but sometimes what you get doesn’t match what you see. Any info is appreciated! Take care.
I’ve spoken to the guy multiple times on Instagram, he seems like a really driven person, and he wants to continuously out-do his previous self. He is on a mission to become great at masks.
As for the sculpt, they are really nice, the have lineage to the Medley-Hoffman Kirk project I believe. Nicely detailed Kirk based masks.
You shouldn’t have any issues with this at all. If you are aware of his work and enjoy what you see it that is.
I pulled the trigger on the MCS DIY from StrodeRevengeStudio. The mask should be here around the 11th of this month. Gary was very pleasant to deal with and gave me the option of taking a mask he had just finished up or waiting for the MCS DIY to be completed. The mask the was ready for delivery was the SS75. And though I feel it was a good mask, I chose to wait for the MCS DIY. That sculpt just nails the Shape look for me. Anywho, when it arrives, I’ll post some pics.
The DIY from Strode Revenge Studio came in today. It was marked as SS75 so I checked with Gary and he replied that it had been mis-labeled and could be cleaned with a little alcohol.
Gary was first rate with communication when I had a question or something of that nature. He sent a pic when the eye cuts were done and a notice that the mask was on its way.
