Fixed the hairline on my TOTS H2, check it out...

I did as suggested by a fellow member of the forums and instead of removing it completely, I lifted the hairline, lightly traced a line with a pencil as a guide, applied some glue and folded it forward then i put glue behind the hairline and folded it back. I realized after that I could have probably taken it a bit further but I was afraid there wouldn’t be enough to cover the space between the first and second row of hair, but at least it gets rid of the awful looking tacked on hairline which is a plus. Took some dippity do hair gel to shape it and voila…

Looks way better,nice touch man!

Thanks man!

Looks nice. Great work!

Awesome man, seeing the pic of warlock in background it really looks damn close. I wish my TOTS was that close to accurate I apparantly got a rushed off the line mask though LOL

That’s awesome, how exactly did you do that? Gently rip up the glue line?

Thanks!

I got mine a few weeks before last Halloween, surprisingly, it didn’t look as bad as some of the “box opening” vids I saw on youtube from when it first was released. I guess maybe they perfected the paint job on last years because the nose and neck didn’t look quite as bad as in the vids I saw.

I should have taken a few pics while I was doing it (d’oh). I didn’t have to rip off anything. I gently separated the first row of hair from the second row with a comb (large bristle) until it was standing straight up on end, then I used my glue gun and applied glue on the ugly stock glue, started from one ear and never went more than 2 or 3 inches at a time (the glue can get messy or dry too quickly if you try to do more) .

Fold the hair down over the glue as you advance, at the top of the forehead, i took the liberty of putting the glue a bit more on the mask instead of the edge of the stock glue line so it would bring the hairline down a tiff. Then once I made it all the way over to the other ear, I repeated the process (placed a bit of glue behind the hairline) before folding it back to it’s original position.

Then I used some cheap Dippity do X-Treme hold gel to shape the hair.

Thats how I did it too  But you did it better

No such thing, yours looks great too man. And I also love the weathering on yours. Great job!

Nice job man.
