For fans of filming locations

I was passing through Georgia about a month ago and wanted to visit the H2 locations. I had most of the addresses, but when I plugged the ones for the Rabbit in Red and the Phantom Jam into my GPS it took me to the middle of nowhere, so I missed out on those two. I did manage to find the places that stood in for Downtown Haddonfield, the hospital exterior, the Brackett house, and the Myers house.

The Brackett house, Rabbit in Red exteriors/some interiors and the Phantom jam are all about 10 minutes away from each other.

Thanks for the Video.

I did have the addresses, but the location of the Phantom Jam didn’t even come up in my GPS database. We spent a little time driving up and down the road looking for it, but no luck. Same for the Rabbit in Red. I got the address from its company page, and while it showed up in my GPS, this time it just took me to an intersection a few miles from the Brackett house where there was only a house and a cornfield. :frowning:

Cool video! Strange about the GPS… They’re both right there on the main road, Hwy 142.

I LOVE the Brackett house. I rode out that way with a friend just a couple weeks ago. They had done some work on it from the looks of it. There was a new electronic gate. And I couldn’t tell but there were a bunch of lights in the backyard. It almost looked like a big string of lights. Not sure what was up.

They filmed another movie there. The Odd Life of Timothy Green. You can see the house in the trailer, it was the main location I believe.

If I had more time I probably would have been able to find them. With my luck they were probably within a hundred feet of where I was  I didn’t notice anything else around the Rabbit in Red area, and when I was looking for the Phantom Jam I drove down to city hall before I turned around. It was just a really long day. I started in Atlanta and got most of the locations from The Walking Dead that I could get access to (I spent about an hour at the road to the quarry trying to get a security escort. If there wasn’t a guard outside the gate I would have just walked around it) then I went to these locations, and finally the Jason Lives camp. I missed out on the cemetery due to losing light. Then after that we drove down to Florida. Didn’t get to our hotel until about dawn…

I was a little disappointed I couldn’t get close to the Brackett house. If the trees weren’t so full I wouldn’t have minded much. The electric gate was there when I visited. Along with two pissed off dogs. The second I got out of my car they charged down the lawn, right to the fence, and were barking the entire time I was there. I managed to keep them just out of frame.

That’s dedication ! My friend works on The Walking Dead. He does tours for those filming locations. Check out http://atlantamovietours.com/

It’s Called The Big Zombie Tour. Tell them Brandon sent you.

I wish I’d heard about that before hand. I’m actually not from anywhere around Atlanta. I was just passing through. I’m from Western NY. The guard at the quarry did mention there were tours done there, but I figured it was a one time event considering how dangerous the area is.
